Great decision on the 315/70-17 K02 in load Range C. I don't even have the Rubi yet but when i saw that TireRack stock was so low, I pulled the trigger on these and they'll be here Tuesday. (Expecting the Rubi delivery mid-March!! LOL)

Tire Rack is now showing that May 2 is targeted deliver date for new orders. I'd highly advocate folks to hold our for the Load Range C as the will be more compliant on the street and the should have more bite when aired down for off-roading.
Wow your getting those really fast.
I looked at 3 places (Costco, Discount Tire, and Belle Tire) - I ended up pulling the trigger with Belle, as they were the only ones that could get them fast at a reasonable price. Totally agree on C versus E load range on the ride quality, it's really about matching the tire to the weight of the vehicle and it's carrying capability. The E is simply for a heavier vehicle and as such will not have the same compliance in the ride.

Can you post a before photo? I’m curious how much the lift pulled the rear axle forward.

I thought I would share my thoughts with you folks on the kit... I have driven about 100 miles thus far (on-road), really really impressed!

The spring rate tuning , along with the Fox shock valving feels just like the stock Rubi. Trust me I'm fairly critical, I have run (2) AEV kits and ended up with a 4" Long Arm Teraflex kit with Falcon shocks on my old JK. This MOPAR kit is much nicer than all of those previous kits (on-road) IMHO. I hope I'm as impressed come Moab time this March. Worth noting - I live in Michigan and we are in "Pot Hole" season, so my evaluation is not on smooth roads. We have potholes this year that would completely ruin any ordinary sedan's entire front end, let alone blow out tires or break wheels.

Lastly I'm still running the stock 285 KO2, as my new tires needed a week to deliver - this enabled me to really focus on the lift without introducing another variable into the equation. Many times when we evaluate a kit, we confuse our evaluation because we added the new larger tire at the same time. Having worked for Continental/General tire for 5 years I realize how critical tires can be in the overall NVH of a vehicle - which is why I pulled the trigger on 315/70/17 'Load Range C' BFG KO2. Between the impressive MOPAR kit and the new KO2 (35"), this thing should be very similar to what Jeep engineered it from the get-go.

I'm selling my original Rubicon KO2 tires - anyone interested send me a PM

Have you been down “the road from hell”’ Mound Road in Sterling Heights Lol? Got a chance to test drive a Rubi and took it down Mound Road as a true torture test of the new suspension and was blown away at the Rubis ability to soak up 4” pot holes at will!

I am planning on lifting and changing the rims and tires on my Jeep once I get it as well. Like yourself I want to keep the factory ride, and go with KO2s, but I want to go up to an 18 inch rim. It seems KO2s are available only on load E in a 35 inch/12.5/18.

How different will the Load E affect the ride?

Jeep looks Great. Thanks for review and pics, very helpful. I was thinking of keeping the stock 33's but might jump up to the 35's. I'm looking to go with same setup if jeep can shed some light on spring issue. Quick question on the BFG KO2, why 315/70/17 as opposed to the 35's? Is their a difference in Load Range? I'll be using as daily driver so trying to keep as much as on road comfort as possible.

I'm out on the West Side (Commerce Township), so no I have not been down Mound Road...
There are 3 roads out my way this year that are in such shitty shape that it's a make or break for stock and liftkits. Im happy with the kit it drives that well.

My photo isn't perfect, but it's the only one I have as a stocker. It was only in it's stock form for 6 days - haaaa.

Ideally you match up your load range tire to the weight of the vehicle and it's carrying capability. The reality is we have very little to choose from in the 35 and 37 sized tires. Is there a difference in loadrange c, d, e tires - there is, and it's about the number of plys and the tire bead. Plys and bead as they get in the higher load range so goes the compliancy of the tire. What you feel today is going to be stiffer, harsher - is it a big deal NO, absolutely not. If you can't find a C load range, E isn't the end of the world.

I'm one of those fellows that use my Wrangler for 95% on road, and then set up maybe 5 off-road trips around the US each year. The reality is when you add up those off-road miles versus the on-road miles it probably shakes out to only 5% or 10%. As such I want to best emulate what Jeep engineered, and which is why I'm willing to wait for the load range C.

My reasoning for the 315/70/17 is primarily the Load Range C issue, but also the tire store for some reason will not put the 35" on our 7.5" stock wheel, but they will put the 315 on. I think they are both too wide for that wheel, possibly the 315 is less worse that the 35.

I'm a tad concerned about the word "AWESOME" you used in the topic title of this thread.
The Mopar 2.0 lift for the JL appears to be far from awesome.

I feel bad for the poor slug that reads the thread title only and runs out and orders/installs the Mopar lift on his JL.

Reality is, this Mopar lift for the JL is not awesome and in fact is flawed.

No way at this point in time time would I even consider buying or installing the lift or recommending anyone else to do so. To buy and install this lift right now would be a real mistake.

Anyway, hope you will consider removing the "AWESOME" from the topic title. No way in heck is this lift "AWESOME".

Also, no way is there going to be say, a simple adjustment at install time or during a subsequent dealership visit, etc. that is going to remedy the issue with this lift kit.

This seems a bit critical...
Do you own this lift?
It does ride awesome, and there is no need to change any of my points. Your welcome to your opinion, but I suggest you drive one.

And yes I do trust that if there is a problem it will be resolved. This isn't an aftermarket company were talking about, who better to get a kit from than the OE manufacturer. I have had problems with AEV and Teraflex and I have decided to not play that game this time. Certainly there will be a ton to chose from and some of them might be nicer kits, although none will offer you the long-term warranty protection to the vehicle!

Are the front springs identical or they separately labelled? If not, there may be a bad design or manufacturing defect for the drivers' spring seat.

Went to Earnhardt's in Gilbert today, they had one on the lot. Passenger side was perfect, Driver side was bowed like crazy.

Man, that is just so bizarre. Passenger side looks perfect, drivers side looks effed up. Is anyone having any problems with the rear springs, or is it just the front drivers side that is the problem?
