I have a 2018 JL Sport 13 months old with only 3000 miles on it. No one in the family will drive the JL due to the wondering steering. I have had steering issues with the JL since my trip home from the dealership. I have done all the suggested procedures lowered tire pressure, checked torque specā¦.ect. I have had it at the dealership three times concerning the wondering steering and recall issues. I have been satisfied with the repair work done on the JL, but they do not take the steering issues seriously. I get thatās the way they drive. They never drove with me and I suspect they never test drove the JL. From reading the thousands of steering related posts; I noted that a small percentage of folks have gotten the dealership to replace the front track bars with the new track bars with stiffer bushing and to have the toe set to the new spec. released for the JL. I am not expecting miracles at this point, I just want the JL to be as safe as possible.
Is it worth the time to contact Jeep Cares? How can you upgrade your case to āstarā and does that really help? Is the reimbursement rate from FCA to the dealership for warranty work too low that they avoid warranty work? I just got the steering stabilizer recall and would like to get the upgrades to the steering issue (track bars and toes specs) with this visit. I have been waiting for a real solution to the steering issue before spending more time in the dealerships waiting room.
