Sounds to me like all 2-doors. Mine order is a hard top.
Damn. Lol. I was hoping it was just soft tops. I’ve been seeing quite a few things about those being delayed. I’m a hard top, too.

The point is, the 2 door hard top orders are obviously behind and not following the schedule. $&!* happens it's just folks were expecting movement by now.

Last Friday, Jeep Chat told me there was no change in my order’s status and to ā€œcheck back in 4 weeks.ā€

That would be consistent with the other posts. Also, I saw my dealership guy and he artfully dodged any timing questions.

I don’t have any great pressure on getting it RIGHT NOW!!!, but I don’t like the amount of uncertainty, multiple storylines, or mysterious silences from Jeep. That is not ā€œprofessionalā€.

Just a customer’s perspective.

This really sucks...Ive been really thinking about changing my order to a 4 door equally equipped but vin was already assigned and don't know how long will it take to receive. Plus I made it to the tracking list and don't want to waste that lucky spot lol the extra couple thousand is a not much of a concerned but it would push my bigger tires and small lift out for a while.

I know you probably don't want to hear it. But I would wait for what you truly want. It seems like an eternity now. But how long will you have this Jeep? 5+ years? Waiting 2 extra months will be a distant memory at some point.

At least that is what I am telling myself.

Wow, by the time these 2 doors start arriving at dealerships, they might already be close to year end clearance/ making room for 2019 models.

It’s definitely going to be a short window/ timeframe.

Latest chat that was ā€œescalatedā€ told me I should expect mine in early April. Guess I’ll start holding my breath.

Yeah it's looking more and more like I'm going to have to go to Plan B (2018 Charger Daytona 392).

I have to turn in my current leased vehicle on April 27...

Lame, but w/e.

I agree, Jeep needs to be transparent about whats going on at Toledo. Why are 2doors delayed, did Jeep underestimate the number of orders, or forget to order steel, or did a UAW strike delay production. It'd be nice if Manley stepped up and announced what's going on, instead of Radio silence from Jeep, and the Jeep chat people using every excuse known to man to explain why 2 doors aren't being built.

My take on it is that it is a combination of factors. 1) Economics: they make more money on the 4-doors and Jeep is the economic engine for Fiat Chrysler. 2) Demand: The 4-door outsells the 2-door by a wide margin and just by looking at this forum, there are relatively few people waiting on a 2-door, while there are still lots of people waiting on 4-doors that ordered in December or earlier, so they cannot even meet 4-door demand to turn resources towards the 2-door. 3) Quality: there could be quality control issues with the 2-door we don’t know about, in addition to the known quality issues on the 4-door such as with the Freedom Top not sealing properly and letting air flow into the cabin. 4) Parts: Parts in a high enough volume might not be available, such as the soft top, Freedom Top, etc.

Post any updates on your two door order here. Jeep chat just told me Rubicon production should begin mid March. Hoping to see some someone move up from D status soon!
