I went I over a week

How long were you stuck in I? We ordered a few days apart, similar build but with, auto, tan and steel bumpers. I have been I for at least a week now or more.

Nice Duc.

This is my baby.

Both beautiful. I owned a 2012 848 SF AND a 2011 Street Triple R (and a Suzuki SV650SF, which surprisingly was the track bike of the three). Unfortunately, I low-sided on a buddy's JUST-purchased CBR600RR, and after that I couldn't shake the feeling of fear every time I rode. Problem was I had no clue why I went down. Wasn't doing anything crazy, just taking an average turn at an average intersection. I almost wanted to blame the bike itself (it was used), but who knows. At least if I knew I was riding like an idiot, I could just make sure to not do that anymore. The unknown was really messing with my head. Ended up selling all three bikes and promising I'd revisit riding later on in life when I move somewhere with more open roads and less insane traffic.

Probably new and or cold tires. My damn bike was so expensive, debating if I keep it or not when the JL shows up. I don’t ride it enough as is. But it’s winter and nearly freezing in San Diego now. The one in that pic is my sold 899, I have the 1299s now.

Yeah, I've considered that. There was also a very fat paint stripe (relatively new) that I rode over. But in the end it boiled down to me telling myself that I've demonstrated a marked lack of experience to account for that. I can readily admit my riding skills were average at best. I'd never even touch a 1299. Even the 1099 SF was way too much bike for me, which is why I held off until the 848 came out (and frankly, that was probably borderline out of my comfort zone as well).

I've actually considered the opposite: finally riding again when I get my JL. I sold my fast-ish SUV (a 2010 Range Rover) to make room for the Jeep, so I'll need my kicks elsewhere. I personally love riding when it's cold out, though it's a little warmer up in Pasadena than SD. It's the heat that kills me. Anything over 78F so and I refuse to put on a helmet and bake in it. Maybe I shouldn't have bought a black helmet...

So annoyed, my order has been in KZ since 2/14 and I was told it passed inspection and all so pretty much completely ready to ship. Originally I was given an ETA of 2/19-2/23, then it changed to 2/20-25, and then to 2/27-3/1, now it's TBD like wtf ordering has turned out to be the most annoying process never again!

Seems like a few of us in the NY / NJ area are in the same boat here. I've been in KZ since the 13th with no ETA.

I have this feeling that, by the time I get my Jeep, I'm going to see lots of deals on ones right off the lot. Hell, they won't be nearly as "new" anymore so I'm assuming dealers will be willing to get rather aggressive on pricing, even more than the 1% Tread Lightly I settled for. This ordering thing was/is too much stress.

Though I've had a less than stellar experience with my order, I would still do it over again. I'm getting the EXACT vehicle I want. Especially in my case with a Sahara, it would be very tough for me to find one nearly fully loaded without leather seats. If my tastes were in line with the dealer stock orders, I would have probably just waited and bought one off the lot in a couple months.

True, I'm guessing my build (6spd Rubi with nothing but hardtop and LED lighting) would be hard to find on dealer lots. But I keep asking myself, "What if there's one with those specs AND an additional option or two for cheaper...????". The hypothetical situation drives me crazy.

I would not expect too many to be arriving on the lot for dealer inventory. Jeep has a sold order priority meaning an order with a customer attached will be built before inventory for the lot. I share your frustration (though you have been waiting longer). You will love it once it arrives and hopefully the frustration fades quickly after delivery!

I’ve only seen two on lots available to purchase here in NY and they were both Sahara’s with basically nothing except LED lights.

Here’s my run down

JLU Sahara White Fully Loaded
Ordered 1/1/18
D1 1/4
I 1/20
KZ 1/30
Sent to storage yard 2/20
Released from storage to rail car 2/20
In-Transit currently at walbridge OH 2/21

Does anybody know exactly what the build priority code indicates? I've only seen 01 or 99 and wonder if there is any difference in speed of production.
