I tell ya Roky i just didn't like the driver side binding of the link. Passenger side had nice smooth movement at each joint end and i could even move it by hand, but i could not get the same freedom of movement drivers side. While offroading hitting some heavy stuff there would be a decent amount of clunking sound from the link which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that constant stress and lack of smooth movement on the ends would wear it down over time sooner than later. I tried adjusting the ends again to make sure i had them straight, verified my axle was centered as well but couldn't get it to where i wanted it to be. I also did not have the time or energy to take a trip to RK headquarters and have them check it out.Why the switch?

I have the no limits on mine and I don't get any clunking at all.I tell ya Roky i just didn't like the driver side binding of the link. Im also considerably more picky about my jeep than your average person so what didn't necessarily work for me could work for someone else. Did they work as intended...they did their job at Rausch as advertised based on what little info there is out there on them and my own personal experience. I dont want to badmouth a company and this is just my personal experience.
But i gave up that little bit of extra articulation and went with a very sturdy aluminum based solution and to eliminate body roll. These really seem perform better on road than the RK ones and seem to have added a little more front end stability. I will see how they do offroad at my AOAA trip in Sept.
If i could have "fixed" the issue i had, i probably would have left them on. But my patience ran out. They honestly aren't bad at all, just didn't satisfy my pickiness (not even a real word?)I have the no limits on mine and I don't get any clunking at all.
Thanks, I appreciate your honest feedback. Mine are still in transit. I’m sorry they didn’t work for you but I’m hoping it was a defective link and not the norm. And I certainly understand and can relate to the picky part, lol.I tell ya Roky i just didn't like the driver side binding of the link. You are very welcome. I wil always be honest in my posts/reviews because so many of us buy items based on threads like these. Please let me know how yours work out when you get them, i am very curious. Thanks, I appreciate your honest feedback. Mine are still in transit. I'm running 4.5 with 40's, that's why I'm using them. I needed the extra stretch they give.If i could have "fixed" the issue i had, i probably would have left them on. But my patience ran out. They honestly aren't bad at all, just didn't satisfy my pickiness (not even a real word?)
You sure do! Nice rig btw!I'm running 4.5 with 40's, that's why I'm using them. I needed the extra stretch they give.
Our tech support is always here to help, we can work through email/phone calls/PM if you want to, even if you're local, you don't need to swing by for support. All of those joints have a warranty and they simply haven't existed long enough to be out of warranty yet.I tell ya Roky i just didn't like the driver side binding of the link. Hi,The grill insert... Does it move or flex or vibrate? I watched an install video of it and seems like the factory insert is held in place with quite a few clips and such, but this just sits there?
How's the install? Do you have to drill?Mopar bug flector!
