I talked to the dealer around 5pm and they didn't have it yet. They said it will take them a couple of hours after they get it to prep it and do a state inspection. I will probably pick it up tomorrow at noon

Has anyone here had an issue with the dealership giving possession of your Jeep after it was delivered? I went in two days ago when mine arrived at my dealership to sign all paperwork and gave them a large cash down payment and they wouldn't allow me to leave with my vehicle. At first they said it was to inspect, then they said it was bank issues (I was approved back in December when I built the damn thing), now today they said it was because they were coating it for rust (something I did not pay for, so I call bullshit). They wont give me a date, they just say around a week. I did sign the delivery/release form...thinking I was walking out with my Jeep that day. So...my loan has started, it is fully insured, and they have all my money. Give a girl some advice.

If u sign all paperwork and loan stuff then it's "yours" and should give it to you. Only thing that could cross my mind is that they broke something doing a test drive and maybe something was missing.

This sounds absolutely ridiculous! I’m so sorry this is happening. It sounds like they messed something up and trying to not have you notice or something. Something seems shady

Look through posts on here https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/forums/ordering-and-pricing-discussions.7/ .. It actually helped me out and saved me over $6000. Dealers over here in the Dallas, TX area are getting people for MSRP. There's a post with contact information for salesman and don't forget to mention you're from the JLW forums.

That doesn't sound right. I wouldn't hesitate to have a policeman or a lawyer accompany you back in to find out why you have to wait another week.

Maybe ask to see all paperwork including service records on the vehicle. Make sure you see documentation of this rust proofing you neither asked for, nor wanted. Further I'd probably go in and ask the manager what's going on they'll either give you a plausible reason, or lie to your face. Let's assume there' an actual reason, and the salesperson is a weird communicator, but stay on top of this.... It's peculiar
