I’m not sure yet, but think it might. It’s definitely a bit more sluggish, but I had a ‘17 JKUR 6-speed and I’d say my JLU compares to that now that the bigger tires and lift are on it.

What have you done? What would you regear to?
Have 33's, no lift and it's great. But have considered going to Mopar lift + 35's because it looks awesome and should be great on trails. But loads of people recommend re-gearing to 4.56 or something like that :) especially with the manual transmission. So I have stuck with my current setup for now.

So I was hesitant to add steps but we are about to head out for vacation and my mother, wife, and kids will be getting in and out of the Jeep. These N-Fab steps showed up on FB for a pretty good deal so this is it at least until I can save up for the LoD sliders.

Mopar Accessory Gladiator rims and KM3 35x12.5x17 tires. I’ll probably buy black lugs soon.

The tire installer even made sure every tire was lined up so that if installed as the spare, BFGOODRICH would be centered on the top! I was super impressed!
I wish more tire shops had detailed installers like yours! My tires and Jeep emblem are all mixed up!

Just an FYI to the forum. On Ebay, there is a Mopar Parts seller from Ohio that is selling the third generation Mopar 2in lift (-AC) for under $1100.

That’s a sweet deal... just a heads up from an old man that’s been through it, and you may already know this but in case you don’t, measure your rigs height before you install it or have it installed. If you end up getting 3 + inches you’ll need to purchase additional parts to get it to drive sweet. I haven’t heard anything about how much height the new gen lift is giving. I would suggest that you get some rock krawler spring isolators, I think they’re around 25.00. I had the Mopar one collapse on me. But the the new gen might have upgraded them. My lift gave me 3.5 inches. If you wouldn’t mind letting me know how much lift you end up getting ..... thanks.

That pretty crazy!! How does that even happen. This is why I haven’t lifted mine looking for no more than a 1.5 cause I don’t want all the other things that come with going up that much.

I’m not sure, lol, but my theory is that Mopar anticipated people adding weight to their rigs. Steel bumpers, winch, rock sliders, big ass spare tire, etc... which would make it come down to their 2” number. If this is why, then I think they over estimated, lol. My front came down only a half inch with bumper and winch. I put in 3/4” spacers to fix that.

Added these Jeep heritage pillar light mounts. Notice no lights yet... Haven't yet pulled the trigger on the Rigid sideshooters. But I actually like the look even w/o the lights, gives a nice industrial feel. Gotta paint the hideous chrome bolts tho!

I just got my 2” Mopar lift installed at the dealer who told us it can give 4” to the Jeep! I didn’t measure mine yet, but I believe him!
