Thanks guys. Still a few things I need to clean up and finish but it's at least usable in this state. When I had everything assembled, I load tested each drawer with a 70lb chunk of railroad rail from work. Which is probably way more than I'll ever load in the drawers so I thought it was a good test. When I get home next week from work, I'll carpet the top and paint the rest.

I want to thank @Moto_21 and @WhiteGold for your information, I’ll research this more, I’ve used rk in the past, they were always regarded as one of the top tier companies. Maybe that’s changed. I do like their control arms, I don’t mind a little maintenance, I’m working almost 24/7 anyway, keeps me sober. Believe it or not my Mopar springs are holding up pretty good so far despite the horror stories. I would like a tad more travel though, that’s why I’m looking into replacing shocks and springs.
Agreed with @Moto_21. The 2.5" RK lift gave my jeep a .5" lift in the rear and 1.5" up front. The control arms are also a pain to grease and I hate cutting back the axle mounts so they dont bottom out.

So, stock Sahara suspension, then you added 285’s, on a -6 offset wheel, and no rub/issues? What diameter size tire is that? 35?
They're very close to a 33". We had it out for a drive last night, did a few circles in both directions with the wheel fully locked with no rubbing and drove over a few small bumps in the yard.The drive feels very close to stock.

Had the UPR catch can for a few days but haven’t had time to complete the install. It came down to the UPR or Mishimoto. I chose the UPR due to cleanliness of look after install.

Note: I was amazed at how much oil was already on the PCV lines when I removed them. (See connector pic) This was all going back to my engine :( I only have 2700 miles. Dang.

Was in a great mood this morning on my way to a rent-a-bay to install Rubi take off springs and shocks and this happened:

Must of had a nail in there that popped out cause I could hear the air coming out of the tire. Also learned a valuable lesson about jack placement on the axle instead of the frame. Doesnt matter much on cars but with the Jeep it matters. I had it jacked up as high as it could go and it wasn't even close. Couldn't get the spare or the flat tire back on without another jack.

With my jack mishap it took almost as long to change the tire as it did to change the springs and shocks.

Good news is I did the job with a real pro. Was expecting it to be more complicated. All 4 done in about 1.5 hrs or less!! Even got my leak plugged.

So I guess all's well that ends well.
I have an ARB compressor mounted under the hood and carry a tire plug kit. It's easier to plug the tire and air it up than changing it.

I'm going from 3.5" to 4.5" springs to compensate for the sagging due to the extra weight from the bumper, winch and bigger spare tire. Planning on renting a lift this time. I've changed entire suspensions in my garage, but each time it gets harder to do it that way.

This last week I decided to build a set of drawers for the rear cargo area. When I camp, I usually just use a set of plastic home depot totes. They worked for me, but I got tired of having to always remove the top two to get to camp gear or food. Or pull them all out if I had to reach the tool box. And since I signed up for the All4Fun Jeep event next month, living out the jeep for a week seemed like a hood reason to build a couple drawers. I didn't make any plans or base it off anyone specific set up. I just sort of played it by ear as I went.
I started off with a 3/4" plywood I had left over to make a base plate. This may stay in full time, but I haven't decided yet. Once the base plate was in, I measured up what I wanted to do for the drawers. Each drawer box is 28" long 15" wide and 10" tall. I wanted it to be easily removed and modular so each right and left box can be removed independent of the whole system. Each drawer box has 2 bolts on the outside that secure it to the base plate. I used eyebolts so I can use a bungee cord to secure my cooler and bags to the top. The rear of the boxes are secure with 2 thumb screws each. So with 4 bolts and about 5 minutes I can have both drawers removed. Pictures may be out of order because I'm uploading from my phone.

Nice. This will be my next project, after I finish the second stage of my tire carrier.
It will definitely make camping a bit easier. If you build it like mine, I used 3 4x4 sheets of 1/2 plywood to build the drawers. I'm going to weight them when I get home to see how much it added.

I have not, i know with the electronic sway bar disco there is not full drop so hopefully these work. I'll have one of my friends who has a JL rubi measure his vs mine and see what difference there is. He is still running stock suspension.
