Planning on buying tires this week and am having trouble deciding. Going to run 37x12.50r17 and will mostly be street driven with occasional offroad trip. I want an aggressive looking tire but also want tread life. I have ran toyo mt on my jk and they were great but was considering other options. The offroad shop near me was recommending the toyo rt. Thanks in advance!

Toyos are very heavy so they have never been on my list. I like the Milestar Patagonia a lot. The Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 is an awesome tire if you don't have winter weather.

Those are all solid tire options that tend to work out well for many. Ultimately the right model for you will depend on the conditions in which you drive as well as the performance attributes you expect the tires to deliver. If we can help you select the right model for your needs let us know!

Nitto trail grapplers are great tires too.

I had 35x12.50x17 Toyos on my 2011 jku with 30k+ on them no issue. I have 37x12.50x17 Toyos on my JLUR and love them. Tires will last, but of course being aggressive depends on a noise level you want and are ok with. Clearly I'm happy with them as I had them on both Jeeps. I have Used Nitto's and BFG before... this was still my personal choice.
Just make sure you buy whats best for your use :like:

I've seen this mentioned regarding Toyo's and just curious on the RT...it shows 77lbs for the 37x12.50R17 and the Milestars show 72lbs for the same. Is 5lbs really a big difference here? Legitimately asking not arguing.

Picking up a 5 pound weight doesn't seem like much, however put a 5 pound weight in a tube sock and swing it around in a circle and it is a different story. The issue is rotational weight. More wear and tear on parts, a lower to get started, longer to stop etc.

I tend to try to buy the lightest tire available that fits my needs. That being said I don't think there is a huge difference in 72-77. In the JK you would feel the difference. The new 8 speed tranny is more more forgiving on acceleration with large tires, Rubicon comes with upgraded brakes.

I am running D load range 37” Nitto Trail Grapplers for the first time. So far so good other wise I ran Toyo’s on two of our street Jeeps. Can’t go wrong with either. Buddy of mine ran the Cooper SST. They would not balance no matter what Discount Tire did. They have him another brand of tire and problem went away.

My vote would go for a Hybrid AT/MT tire like the Nitto Ridge Grappler or the Goodyear Duratrac.

I am considering the STT MAXX over the Pro's, knowing I will be making some trips through the mountains in winter. Not sure the STT PRO's would be safe and not kick out on me. The Maxx is more aggressive than the KO2, but less aggressive than a typical MT. I think it might be a good compromise. The stock 33 KO2's on the Rubi went everywhere in Moab. I also do some occasional trails here in AZ.

I honestly don't anyone else running them. But, I am on 35 Yokohama MT G003. They are flat incredible. Quietest MT tire I've run on the road. no weird wondering like MTRs. No lateral pull like Nittos often have. work great offroad. knock on wood. no punctures, no chunking. only reason i may not run them when i move up to 37s is that they don't make a 13.5 inch wide tire.

I went with the new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss, had them for a month so they have exceeded all my expectations. The 2 biggest surprises are how quiet they are and how well they handle on the street.
