Got this little light at harbor freight.

I noticed the weather tech sun shade roll up there! How are you liking it? Does it have a cutout for the rear view mirror? Got a link?

I got it at extreme terrain. I had store credit and a military discount. There's no cut out but it's a perfect fit that completely blocks out the windshield. I love how no light passes through!

Thank you. I think early on, some JL owners were impatient and purchasing and using rollup sunshades that had a cutout - imo those were meant for the JK’s, and not the JL. I have an amazon one for now, but might upgrade to the Weathertech seeing as now they are completely solid with no cutout.

One more thing - how thick is it? You feel like it has good insulation?

Quick mod for @BbyGrlJJ and I: removed lower front aid dam: we didnt like the look of it and we're prepping for lifts/steering within the next couple weeks. We decided to leave the metal plate on for now: we didnt like the idea of the e-disco being exposed and like the "all black" look.......until we get bumpers, down the road.

Installed the tire carrier on my previously purchased Warn Elite rear bumper. Had to remove and reinstall the bumper during the install, which is a huge PITA. I recommend doing them both at the same time if anyone is planning on going this route. But it looks good now that all is said and done.

Next task is to install hilift jack bracket and rotopax mount.

I would have preferred a couple more mounting points inboard of the existing ones. It looks like there is plenty of room between the tire (35” KO2) and the jack, and I’m thinking that the CHP might have issues with the placement of the Rotopax. Maybe I’ll make an extension bracket. C’est la vie.

Finally took the doors off! I went with Body Armor doors and Motor City Aftermarket mirrors. We ran these doors on our JK and they worked well. I like the webbing. I have to say the instructions are truly half-assed, tho. The latch seems to be improved over our other doors. So far the mirrors look great.

Finished all of the wiring and install of the @CoolTech Towing Harness Kit. Nice easy, clean install. So if you want to tow your Jeep behind of an RV, here is a great solution!!!

I decided to tuck the 6 pin socket behind my Poison Spyder bumper to keep it safe and hidden from rocks and obstacles. Just need to run the connection cable through the skid plate holes and plug it in. Flip the switch, good to go!!!

I can let you know tomorrow after my ride into work how things go. Driving earlier with 2PM sun it was noticeably less glare. My morning drive is 90% directly into the sun so hopefully this will change that.

I went with the Quadratec because it didn't require mass disassembly of hood items. Lots of baby shampoo and water squirts and a few restarts after going 1/2 way.

edit: also, I had to wait ~1 month for this as it was out of stock for some time. Maybe back in, may have a wait

One more thing - how thick is it? You feel like it has good insulation?

I guess the best answer to that is use the silver side to keep heat out, flip it to the black side to absorb heat.
