Doubt very much they put that much thought into it. After all, they are a state that passed a law that puts cancer warning labels on absolutely everything...

I was just thinking about that the other day - why is it that only California is concerned about cancer-causing substances? That place seems nuts to a Midwesterner like me.

Mirrors look nice, but definitely small. How's the view with them? Not a huge concern, just curious.

Thanks! View is good... they’re a convex lens so it has a good field of view. They’re not as big as the stock ones of course, but I like how discreet they are. Also love how quickly removable they are.

They are DoubleTake mirrors. We are discussing it on this thread here. I’d like to take credit for it, but @Moto_21 came up with the idea and I just went with a different styled mirror. So my thanks goes to him

Finally got around to Installing the MetalCloak Undercloak skid plates that I bought during the Black Friday sale. Went on fairly easily with the help of a transmission jack to lift and support the plates. Only snag was that it seems that the bolt welded onto the transfer case skid that catches one of the bolts for the gas tank skid seems to be too small. The supplied bolt with dome washer is too big to thread in. I could just drill it and tap it to the correct size, but I’ll reach out to MetalCloak tomorrow to see what they suggest, Also, there’s two vertical support brackets for the gas tank skid (directions only mention and show one). I bolted up the rear most bracket without issue, but the I couldn’t bolt up the one in the middle of the skid because the bracket was the wrong shape. It’s ok to drive, but I don’t want to take it Offroad until I get it dealt with. I’m sure MetalCloak will make me happy.

So I reached out to metal cloak and they were eager to solve my problems. Turns out the bracket was the right one, but the direction on their website wasn’t updated to reflect the revised skids I got. After seeing the new diagram it made sense and I bolted it right up. As for the wrong size nut being welded onto the transfer case skid, turns out ther threads were just gunked up. At MetalCloak’s suggestion I threaded the bolt in through the top to clean out the threads since the bolt wouldn’t start from the bottom. Once the threads were clean, it bolted from the bottom with out issue. Two minor issues, but MC customer support sorted me out. Of course I felt a bit silly after realizing what the “issues” were...oh well

Be sure you tell them when you bought it so they can send out the correct instructions. They have made some improvements since Black Friday and the correct instructions might help. I bought mine the same time and didn’t install till maybe January and there were differences

That was exactly the issue. MC emailed me the correct diagram for the set I bought and once I was able to see the orientation of the bracket in the diagram it all made sense and bolted in without issue.

Some simple mods today. A Rydonair 13" Antenna and the AVS Aeroskin II Bug Shield. Radio signal didn't change much. Not sure if the bug shield works or if I like it. We'll see....I should be done for awhile unless I find some 37's cheap. In the meantime. I'll be saving for the Rugged Ridge tube doors.

I was hoping the delete pipe wouldn’t be over 95db. I plan on getting one.

I had the Flowmaster delete pipe on and took it back off again. It sits in the garage as I type... I'm keeping it for when I put this State in the rearview mirror. My wife didn't like it anyway and it's her Jeep.

I like the simplicity of the Delete pipe, and the possibility of a deeper storage cubby that opened up space would give, as was done in the JKs

I WAS planning to use the space saved to mount my Viair tank and compressor.
