Ive been installing a mopar 2 lift and am trying to figure out how to secure the bump stop extension while screwing it in. I basically have everything else in but that bse is ridiculously hard. Any advice on how to hold it down while tightening it down?

Thx

Before installing the bump stop in its position I ran the nut all the way down the screw and backed it off a few times to remove some of the excess paint and this helped tremendously. Then I put the bump stop in position held the nut with a wrench and screwed bump stop by hand. Hopes this helps.

You can use a strap wrench... Some of the local hardware store will have them in the bargain bins.

I just did it, a larger pipe wrench works perfect. A strap wrench will slip.

UMMM.... Mine haven't
I have a very good strap and it slipped since the bumper is slick, I even put electric tape on the bumper, still slipped. A pipe wrench does not slip. Unless you are referring to a chain strap, I didn't use mine, but could have tried.

Hmm, maybe I just dont know how to use it correctly I have the same one just a different color. Also on the bottom side of the extension did you use a standard socket wrench?

Ahhh, never saw one like that before. I have a digital one seems thats almost like a compass type movement. I thought it was a tool they were recommending for the underside bolt on bse.

Finally, wow that took awhile omg. I was able to do it with a bigger pipe wrench and a flat socket wrench with a head that swivels.
