I'm fine with 50+, but any lower and I need a sweater, but year when your used to 95+ in the summers it doesn't take much to feel cold. I went to Canada on business one year and it was -14. I had 3 sweaters a jacket, gloves, and a beanie and was still struggling , while the locals were wearing just a sweater and some jeans like it was nothing.
-14 is time to zip up the jacket and put on the gloves :)

Heat sucks. I can put on all kinds of warmth but can only take off so much.

Cold weather group? In Houston? For days it falls below 90º? ;-)
30 Degrees this morning. Sure as heck felt good on my broke back after a long shift too. Yeh yeh, thirty isn't anything. I'm from New York, I get it. I've acclimatized lol.

I ordered the Cold Weather Group for SWFL. Not for me, so my passengers that are used to heated seats wouldn’t complain about how the Jeep isn’t as good as what they’re used to. That’ll shut them up. ;) Does anyone know of deals in SWFL? I’ve alredy ordered my JLRU mostly loaded, but with my newly purchased TL membership, I want to be prepared with as much information when I speak to my dealer when my Jeep comes in.

Dennis Dillon quoted me this....my current order is 3.5% below invoice w/ $138 doc fee, totalling to $41,700 , effectively price matching Koons, but Dennis Dillon is beating that price by a whopping $2000.
Should I get my $500 refundable deposit back and re-order?
I'm confused as I'm pretty sure my current dealer won't price match this as they couldn't even give me 5% under invoice.
This Dillon's deal comes out to 8.2% below invoice.

That’s 13% below sticker price. That’s still one of the best deals I’ve seen so far.

I am also pricing with Dennis Dillon - easy to work with and a crazy deal. I love car trips so I am going to make it a road trip to remember: Yellowstone, Arches, Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, etc. or other recommended places. A little rock crawling along the way. With their pricing I am running out of excuses on NOT buying the Rubi.

iki4life, my math equals $42,328 as invoice so $39,675 is 9.39% below invoice. Be careful. Their financing could be their hidden profit generator

Will be getting JLU
Do we have a hard deadline when they will say NO - we can’t provide you the discount any more. I am still deciding/debating what options to get on stock and aftermarket such as iPad vs uconnect, LED lighting group , I want 35” tires - do I need to regear even if we go with 2.5” rough country suspension lift kit (cost for installation+wheels+tires) on sport s/Sahara ,etc

Serious help needed:

You have heard this story before, I off-road now and again and have only a couple of times done some mild rock crawling - my Jeep will be my third (TJ, then JK (both Sports), now JL) and it is mainly for FUN as a 3rd car!

Kent at Dillon has priced these two at my request, both 2 door, soft top, manuals:
1) Sport with Trailer/HD, Anti-Spin, Deep Tint, and A/C $27,525 (yes, over $3k below MSRP) OR
2) Rubi with LED only $33,917 (just over $5k under MSRP) as stock has more than I need or $35,031 if I add steel bumpers (very unlikely).

The obvious, I would be perfectly happy with the Sport, but would add a) rock rails, b) some vinyl (e.g. 1941, US flag, or similar), c) takeoffs from a JK or JL Rubi, and probably d) a 2" lift. Now, that puts me at another $3k ish ($30-31k all in for the Sport). Soooooo, for roughly $3-4k more, I get a Rubicon . . .

Hence, the quandary. I DO NOT need the capability of the Rubi. And, money always matters as it is hard earned, but does not matter other than I do NOT want to be wasteful. The deal requires I finance at about 3% as I have A+ credit and I must make the first 6 payments before I pay it off, so some additional costs (please ignore for this discussion). Also, ignore the cost of my flight and drive from Idaho to Austin as I need a vacation and I would turn this into a mega camping trip (Grand Tetons, Zion, Arches, etc.).

Just focus on the Jeep problem please. Yes, I have problems but thank you in advance for your time as it is appreciated.

I say go with the Rubicon because things change and you may decide that you want to go someplace more challenging or someplace you thought was simple ago was not a simple kind a like warn winch and Their motto go prepared I often find myself in places that are much tougher than I thought they would be and if you will alone or explore a back road it just pays to be have a more competent vehicle that being said you could also accomplish a lot with steel bumpers and a decent winch Another consideration is with the ruby you get much beefier axles lockers the anti-sway bar the hood which I really like and I’m sure there are numerous other upgrades that I don’t know about so even if you were to add a 2 inch lift bigger tires and some other stuff the end result would not be as beefy

Thank you Wanderer. I definitely like the "value" proposition and being prepared, maybe I should go with the steel bumpers . . .

My main reason was for the heated seat is I have a bad back, and I've found that after a long day of work the heated seats provide me with some relief. I do like that idea that in the winter I can drive with the top down and have the heated seats/wheel warm me up enough to drive that way. I am currently riding my motorcycle in 30-40 degree weather, and I would love if it had a heated seat. I can't put on enough layers of clothing to keep me warm at 60mph when it's below 40.
Yeah, I guess we're not the only ones to drive with heated seats on and the ac? We use the heated seats in my wife's Renegade year round because 58 year old overused backs.
