Picked up my brand new 2019 Mojito! Rubicon on Monday, November 26. It was my dream car which I ordered on Oct. 6th. On Wednesday, November 28th the dash cluster started continuously rebooting, RPM and speedometer gauges stopped working. So disappointed and sad. Because it is a 2019, the dealership is not sure when they will be able to get the part or when I will get my Jeep back. :crying:

Considering that hardly anything has changed, can't see what's different.
You would think and hope FCA would have kept track of what issues needed to be addressed from 2018 and carried the corrections into the 2019 model year

Major mechanical recalls such as the frame welds are usually due to a very short period of time where quality assurance failed, and is addressed immediately. There's nothing to keep the same problems or new ones from showing up in any given year. The software bugs that have been worked out, such as the radio constantly resetting, the cruise control recall, etc, are fixed on the spot and carried forward. The only functional change from '18 to '19 is the addition of the newer safety features, which only presents new failure points. The instrument cluster in particular is exactly the same.

Was the dash cluster failure a known issue with the 2018's? I guess its possible I just got a bad one. During our inspection at the dealership we found a Torx tool under the hood. Perhaps that was a warning sign. Wonder if I should return the tool to FCA. :)

There have been a few common issues with the 2018 instrument cluster, usually related to the odometer going nuts or the dial speedometer getting stuck at non-zero values when still, thus throwing off the whole calibration.

Hello. I’m sad to say I am having the exact same issue with almost the exact same timeline as you. I ordered my car on sept 30th and received it on 12/3. Yesterday 12/5 I had to drive it to the service department of the dealership I bought it from because both needles in the cluster were shaking and stuck at 0 and the screen in the dash kept rebooting, even while in motion. I was able to capture a video of it.

I didn’t feel safe to drive the vehicle so I called Chrysler road side assistance and they would not tow it to my dealership because there was another dealership that was closer. So I ended up driving it to the dealer after and hour ordeal with road side assistance. By the time I went back out to my car the car started normally.

Now my Wrangler is sitting at service while they try to figure out what’s wrong.

I’m so sad. Just like you it was my dream car and I waited two months for it and now it’s sitting back at the dealership while I pay a car payment and am driving a compass ... no offense but I want my Wrangler that I am paying for!

Has service given you any update yet? Is your still doing the same thing?

I’m on my cell phone and it’s not letting me upload video. I posted it on my Instagram @Finthejlu ...

The video starts with the car off and you can hear the needles on the speedometer and RPMs clicking and shaking ... when I start the car it continues and while in motion you will see the screen restart.

I will try to post the video in the thread tomorrow from my computer.

@Finthejlu - I feel your pain. Sounds just like my problem. I must say @JeepCares has been very responsive and they are working with my dealership to expedite the part. One thing I did notice, at least with my jeep, is that the problem only happens when it is cold outside. Dealership said it was safe to drive, so I picked it up. Just have to be careful to keep with the traffic flow because I can't tell how fast I'm going in the morning until the jeep warms up. I felt it was best to continue to drive so that I could identify any other issues. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Fuses not secured in the distribution box like on the 18's ????
In my case, the fuses were secure. We used the delivery checklist found on this forum. Hubby checked them for me.
