I heard back from Bestop. They checked and there is no problem with the factory installation of the JL soft tops, but the first ones were delayed from the expected Job1 date of Dec 11. She said to expect to see some produced in several weeks. (But alas, my soft top only order from 11/4 is still only in D)

Same here. I think for some of us, the only way for an accurate update is to go through the ordering dealer. Even the Jeep customer support contact doesn’t have the correct status updates. Apparently their systems just don’t synch for all orders.
Might be the case. Unfortunately we can only tell you what shows up in the nationwide tracking system. Sometimes it matches, other times your ordering dealer will have different info. Anecdotally, based on what users have been reporting, it seems to be matching up better in recent weeks for those that are in D1 and beyond.

You order a 2 door? I've been in "D" status for about 15 days and was told I can' stay there longer than 30 without them looking into it. Comma but, If info is accurate the 2 door build doesn't start until Feb 11 or 12th anyway
Varies by what your ordered and which direction the wind is blowing (randomness) There are a couple who ordered within a day or two of Rosco with dual tops auto (same as him) and have been in D over 45 days (and still are.) Some in past few weeks have moved to D1 in 2-3 weeks. Makes no sense.
It is thought that only the soft top only (no hard top) version is delayed from its intended Dec 11 start date. There is some thought that this will likewise push back the beginning of the two doors by 3-4 weeks from the intended schedule. (But who really knows?)

No, I ordered 4 door (Sahara Unlimited). Have an updated POC showing it went to D1 on 1/4 with estimated ship date of 1/16.
