For what's it's worth, I'm keeping mine. I think they look terrific. I'll probably change the lugs to either brushed stainless or black though, not digging the chrome. And, new, larger tires and a 2" lift will happen in a few years, maybe next year, maybe this month too.

I will be staying stock. Of the many Wranglers I have owned and driven, 33s are the sweet spot. Go much larger and it takes away the driveability. Besides, I have seen a wrangler with 33s with a great driver behind the wheel mop up on other people running much larger tires.

Stock rims, tire upgrade, although I have modded my wheels slightly. They are brown where they should be shiny and shiny where they should be black for some reason...

Ok, so, they are not my stock, but I put them on my Sahara. Love them. So far great on road and off road.

anyone think the stick wheels are fine and not planning to upgrade size or rims?
I've been running 35's since 700 miles (currently at just over 13k) on the stock wheels with no spacers with a Mopar lift. Love it. I just did Moab with it and it was awesome. I'm keeping it this way.

Pros: they look great, the offset is perfect for 35" tires

Cons: They're only 7.5" wide.

So I decided to sell mine.

I am going to stick with the stock rims/tires on mine. Did the build and change all kinds of stuff on two Toyotas (FJ and Taco). Realized that even with new suspension, rims, tires, etc. on both of the Toys they still were not as capable as a stock(ish) Rubi. Though! If I was going to do it again on my current rig hands down, Method Race Wheels. Those were my favorite in the past.

Yup, not changing a thing. Damn thing drives really decent on the highway, and perfect offroad. No interest in changing a thing for now. Besides stock wheel's look nice, and the stock K02's are awesome tires. I might step up to 35 KO2's when these wear out.

I also like the stock rim. I added the vinyl lug nut covers, I like the look much better.
I like that, too...just ordered some, myself. Contemplated ordering red, but...didn't think id like them long term.

Shopping around for ours, but thinking when it arrives it will remain stock. Don't take this negative just reality of my older self talking to my younger self.

Had a 03 TJ Rubi that was mildly built (OME suspension, 33's, kept the stock wheels added spider trax spacers, etc). Yes it "looked" awesome, but here's what I learned looking back. None of it was necessary for the wheeling I did with it. Daily driver with the occasional weekend warrior excursion. In hindsight I think it would have been more fun to wheel it for what it was. It's pretty amazing what a stock base wrangler can do not to mention what and where a rubicon locked up can go etc.. When we do this over it will be stock, enjoy it for all it's stock glory and when issues arise toss keys to dealer with no worry. Only down side it may not have that awesome mean aggressive stance that is everything to love about a Jeep.

Random thoughts on modifying a jeep from a guy that perhaps is just getting old that I wish I could have told 15 year younger self
1. It never drove the same after going up and bigger. Don't get me wrong it drove good, but never the same, something to consider if it's not a toy 2nd vehicle.
2. Warranty coverage was never an issue, but it was always a question and into a gray area
3. Tire work (rotations and balancing) was a pain because tire shops wanted nothing to do with the spacers. Perhaps that has changed over time? I eventually removed the spacers and lived with less turning radius to remove the headache.
4. The Jeep was FAR more capable than I was ever willing to drive it. Stock would have been more than enough and likely even more fun given the "challenge"
5. Leave it stock unless you can and plan on doing the majority of your own "wrenching". Stock you can roll in anywhere for repairs. Modified it's always a question. Stock parts are available anywhere. Modified not so much.
6. I would have had a whole lot more money in my pocket left stock, but no less fun or memories.

The fact that I can get a wrangler rubicon with lockers, 33's, etc.. from the factory all engineered as a package from Jeep and can be worked on at any Jeep dealer in the country.. Sign me up.
