Agreed. Not sure but I'll be sure to ask tomorrow.
Honestly, I'm indifferent as long as the person doing it knows what the hell they are doing.

But I guess time to do it would be longer, if they send out.Agreed.
Nice. Those are great looking wheels in black. My dealer is powder coating mine black which I worked into my deal.
Did you photoshop those black or somehow get to select them as an option?Kinda mad at myself for even beginning to think about not getting these things.
Photoshop... but they are basically identical to what was shown on the Hella Yella during the reveal.Did you photoshop those black or somehow get to select them as an option?
Seeing as though you can't get them? What do you mean. Not an option yet right?Kinda mad at myself for even beginning to think about not getting these things.
I didn't make them fully black. It's a layer of black applied at 70% opacity. Regardless, I'm pretty sure you could get them powder coated hot pink if you wanted to.The rims at the LA auto show were not "full black" but rather the silver looked darker grey but still not full black FYI. If i had to say it looks like 50% darker silver was all - sort of like window tinted.
Right... that's just the standard wheels Photoshopped with a layer of black to simulate having a powder coat applied to them.Seeing as though you can't get them? What do you mean. Not an option yet right?
OK we are on the same page but I'm definitely thinking powder coat unless I fall in love with the 2 tone version...Right... that's just the standard wheels Photoshopped with a layer of black to simulate having a powder coat applied to them.
I bet if you mask off the gloss black, and plasti dip just the silver parts, that would look pretty sweet. So if I wanted to recreate the stock black wheels, would they need to be powder coated or dipped? Or is there some other process I may not know about?
FYI, mine will be sent to a shop on the other side of my town. That's not bad they send them out or done in house?
I'm going to try this as soon as I get it and the weather allows. Love me some Plasti Dip.I bet if you mask off the gloss black, and plasti dip just the silver parts, that would look pretty sweet.
