Interesting thing about the Saturn impact - only the passenger side airbag deployed. No one in that seat, no drivers side air bag deployed. I assumed malfunction but who knows.
Uninsured, homeless, and driving a vehicle registered to someone else that he claimed to "have just bought"
I lived in FL long enough to always get the uninsured motorist coverage so I'm covered. He's in for some fun though.
Just gave it a better look. The whole thing (rear of the ACE rail, OEM slider) is pushed up under the Jeep 1-2 inches and I'm pretty sure the rear body mount bolt is sheered off. Like I said, good times.
TBD - It's body mounted but need to take a look this morning. Lines are all straight and the rear driver door looks to be fine/functions fine. Nothing is obviously wrong.
Agree. I'm very frustrated with myself that I was on my everyday commute and didn't take the 1 second required to glance left and see if someone was approaching too fast. Two other lanes did - I was in the 3rd and furthest lane - and in auto-pilot. Boom.
Will need some bodywork and a new rail from ACE - but overall I'm pretty impressed with how well she held up. Saturn was probably going 25-30 - Spun me a quarter turn.
Another thing to think about is sun exposure/fading. By the time I sold my JK I had to buy seat covers bc the seats had gone from black to purple. Constant exposure to sunlight is brutal. Might want to think about some seat covers for future resale value.

Extended the warranty on my 2018 JLUR. Good thing too as the touch screen just started delaminating so it's basically paid for itself already.
Only thing that will get me out of the current one is if Anvil comes back as a color choice. That will be hard to resist.
The little fabric pillar they added looks HORRIBLE. It's so bad I'm hoping these are spy shots from when they were testing the half doors and the uppers are still in design.
Can we just get the TJ design team off the trails and out of the bars for one minute and get them on this? Give me one...
Selling my factory steel rubicon bumper . Has some wear but everything works and overall it's a super solid bumper. Only selling it because I upgraded to an ARB.
Sells new for $8-900. Selling mine for $400.
Local only - weighs too much to ship.
I just installed mine and noticed the same thing.
I ordered the Mopar Brush guard and (with minimal cutting) should be able to get it on there with the ARB. It fits a bit tighter to the jeep, which i like - but feels weak which worries me.
Gonna try it on this weekend and I'll post...
Wanted a low profile license plate mount for the new front bumper set up. Went with AEV and couldn't be happier. Way cleaner look than the flip up varieties, but still easy to pop off when I need it.
We got a wrench in for the light mounts with the winch on. Bumper wasn't mounted on the Jeep though so it might not be as easy.
I didn't use any of the ARB license plate mounts. Don't like the look (not low profile enough). I'm working with a friend to try and design a license plate mount that...
