At least AutoPark is disabled in 4 Lo.So I searched and read the "similar threads". No other threads on this problem that I can find.
My JLUR does not have the proximity sensor option. However, when I go into park, get out of the vehicle to check the mail (for 1 instance) and get back in and shift to drive...it pulls the "Autopark Engaged: Shift to P then Shift to Gear.
You follow the instructions...it doesn't work. You try several times. Nada. You shut the Jeep off and turn it back on a few times. It finally "resets" apparently and allows you to move. SUPER FRUSTRATING JEEP.
It just did it to me again this morning while shuffling cars around between my shop and the garage.
How is this going to work on the trail? Not well I suspect when getting in and out at obstacles and leaving it in park (ebrake engaged or not).
Anyone having this issue or am I just lucky enough to get a problem from FCA?
I guess I'm confused. The auto park engages if the door is open, the brake is off, the seat belt is undone AND the truck is in gear. If any one of those conditions do not exist, the auto park will not engage. So if you need the seat belt engaged for the tazer to prevent auto park, then it doesn't seem like it's doing anything.Important: In regard to auto park and the Tazer JL.... For the record, myself and a few others have noticed that disable auto park, thanks to the Tazer JL or Tazer JL Lite will only work if you keep your seat belt fastened.
Another words, as long as your seat belt is fastened with auto park disabled you can open the door and hang out of it and back up, etc... 8-)
Again, seat belt has to be fastened or auto park will kick in, even if disabled with the Tazer JL... Joe at ZAutomotive, recently posted that you should not have to have your seat belt fastened and that he is looking into why some have to have seat belt fastened and others do not... Personally, I do not care either way. I have no problem with having my belt fastened around me or behind me..
.
Unless you are trying to move with the door open and seat belt undone (you didn't specify in you OP), you shouldn't have the auto park engage on you, see my post above. If it won't move with the door closed, then yes, you have an issue that should be looked at, a programmer is not going to help.So I searched and read the "similar threads". If it’s not working according to owners manual, then you have a problem.@Arrowhead
Geeez, you have confused me with the wording you used...
Sounds like you may not be familiar with how auto park works.. ??
With no Tazer JL in the mix, IF, I open the driver's door on any JL , when I am going forward or backward, the JL will go right into autopark. (regardless of whether seat belt is fastened or not).... Auto park kicks in, vehicle stops abruptly.

Ya know I was trying to be nice and play dumb by saying I was confused. Thought maybe you would chime in and take the high road. Well that's over. You are completely wrong in your description of how autopark works and your contradicting the manual excerpt above. Just admit it, the Tazer isn't disabling autopark if you still need the seatbelt engaged.
