This is my second Jeep, but it is my first Wrangler.
I am very bad at negotiating with sales person. Please help me set my base line. I am not too crazy about getting the best deal ever, but also I don't want to get rip-off a few thousand bucks. I am thinking to do an email negotiating this time. I hope it can help.
Windows sticker shows MSRP $56,335. What is realistic price I should pay for it? I am living in GA.

Thanks

You're going to get a million different answers regarding 5-7% under invoice. It depends on if you're trading out of something too. You have to look at the total deal. On that Jeep, I'd say somewhere around $5K off and you're in the right territory.

Where are you in GA?

I live in knoxville, TN and most dealers didn't want to go more than $5k below MSRP. But I was to get 5% below invoice on an order from one of them.

I would see what you can get on an order.

A good deal is 10% below MSRP Plus tax and tags & doc fee, do not let them add destination on again, they will try.
A Great deal is 15% off plus tax, tag and doc fee. I think 5k off is not a good deal and its an 18 the 19’s will hit at the end of November

I live in 40 mins north of metro Atlanta.
I am good with 5% below invoice price if I can get one offer. Currently I contacted two dealership. One is in Cumming and one is in Roswell. They have not response yet. I did mention on my email that people are getting 10-14% off the MSRP. Anyway, let me know if you found a dealership that will work with you for a deal, please let me know. Within 300 miles, they can trade inventory for free. I will do the same letting yo u know if I found a deal.

One dealer near my area has already started offering $4900 discount from MSRP on some of their Sahara models. I guess $5000 discount is really nothing.

I have no other choice. That is the only white jeep with leather seat, led group and safety group combination available around metro Atlanta. I really don't care cold weather group and steal bumper group.

1. First you state that you are bad at negotiating, don't need the best deal, but don't want to be ripped off.

2. Then you state that you are fine with 5% off invoice, and requested 10-14% off of MSRP, which lies within the best deals in the country. 90% of dealers won't touch this.

3. Someone states to shoot for 5K off, which is very fair/the majority of dealerships won't meet, and you complain that it 5K is "nothing."

Not making sense.

Have you seem other people's post here?
If you are a buyer and see dealer put $4900 off on their website publicly, You will just accept the price like that without any negotiation?
You sounds like a dealer's salesperson.

Your first post said you weren't looking for a great deal but at the same time didn't want to be ripped off. Your following posts show you are looking for the one of the best deals in the country...

You do realize that the price listed on a dealership's site is not the price you receive once you get there right??? Those prices include many rebates that most people do not qualify for ie military, physically disabled individual, employee pricing, affiliate pricing etc... If you are able to get the price listed on their site, it will come from a great deal of negotiating.

If you are looking for one of the best prices in the country say it in the first place. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
