Does anybody know...When you order a MOAB with the Dual Dual Top group does the hard top come the color of the body and the soft top is black? I'm looking at the Dual Top Group description and it lists both Black 3 piece hardtop and body color 3 piece hardtop....thanks

According to the order guide, the black hard top is not an option with the Moab, whether you get dual tops or not:

If you look, HT1 is not listed at all in the right column, which is for the Moab package. Body colored hard top (HT3) is standard, and the premium cloth top is the $1300 add on if you order AEN.

I have a Moab with dual top group. I can confirm that my hard top is body color, and for approx $900 extra I also got the black premium soft top.

Is the MOAB a 2018 or 2019? When will we see some on dealer lots? I’m in New York State. Thanks.

They released it approx 3 weeks before the order window closed for 2018 but they didn't publicly announce it, so only a very small number of us got an order in. The vast majority of them will be 2019's. Jeep will begin producing 2019 models at the end of October, so expect to see some on the lots before the end of the year. However FCA prioritizes special orders over dealer orders, so you'll likely get one sooner if you special order it (and of course you get to choose the exact combination of options you want).

There are some 2018 Moabs en route to dealers. The window to order a 2018 Moab was actually open before the Moab was formerly announced. In fact, most reports were that the window to order a 2018 Moab closed the same day or the day before the official announcement was made. That sent most of us Moab buyers into a bit of frenzy because we thought we missed the opportunity to order something we had only just learned about.

Another issue was that the official announcement introduced the "2018" Moab and so there was some real confusion about whether it was going to be available to order as a 2019. This period of confusion lasted about 2 weeks.

Since the 2019 ordering process began on 9/12, Moab's have been available for order as 2019 model year Jeeps only. The only difference between a 2018 and 2019 Moab is the availability of the Advanced Safety Group (look it up).

Hope that helps.

The order guide has all 2018 colors, including Hellayella, available for all trims for 2019, why do you think it's discontinued?
I'm not sure about Hellayella, I think he might be confusing it for Mojito (the neon green color). Jeep has said that they are discontinuing it for 2019, but at least as of now it is still appearing on 2019 order guides. But for anyone who has their heart set on that color, I would order asap because it may not be around for long.

Any word on if the 2019 Moabs will be available with a manual transmission?

As of now, the Moab is a prefigured set of options which are not configurable other than a couple option packages that can be added (cold weather, dual top, or towing). It's only available as an automatic and with the V6 engine. But if you haven't driven a JL yet, do so before judging this. The JK had the same engine but only a 5-speed transmission, whereas the JL has a much-improved 8-speed. It's amazing how much a better transmission can make the same engine feel so much more responsive.

I drove a 6MT JL Rubicon, and thought that transmission was great, and it's the sole reason I'm considering the JL. I've never driven an automatic that elicited any kind of response, period. Even exotics with DCTs; they were just machines doing machine things. But I love the tactility of a good manual.

I've never owned an auto, and at this point I might as well just drive manuals until every vehicle is electric (with a single-speed transmission).

Then looks like the Moab won't be a fit for you, as it's highly unlikely they'll start making it configurable. You should move forward with the MT Rubicon if that's what you want! :like:

My mistake, I meant Mojito, but I also didn't realize it was possible to order it now as well. So I've edited that post to reflect the correction.

Hello local Jeeper…

Thanks for the compliments...Still working on what winch to get, maybe seat covers that match the orange and black theme. No rush...

This pic is at the top of Mt. Princeton in Buena Vista. I have the coordinates for the trail if you need it. It takes you to 12,221 ft and ends where the pic was taken. From there, you can hike the remaining 2000ft or so to the summit.
Sahara looks great. May i ask what since tires and rims you have there? And did you do a 2 inch lift?
