So fully loaded Recon is $54,680. What price did someone post for a fully loaded JLUR? But with the Recon you get the reinforced tire carrier, the larger tire holder, and premium rock rails included.

Exept for those items, the JL has better stuff on everything else...not sure about the axles though.

Edit: Okay, I just checked every box and included the police locater thingamagig.

What's the price difference between a fully loaded JLUR and a fully loaded JK Recon? That's probably the best/closest comparison.

I compared my JLUR build with a Recon similar build and the Recon was $30 less.

We are getting the tan leather with Firecracker red. Swung by the dealer today to get a firmer quote. Right now we're at $46k ($1k off FWP of $47k / $49.8k MSRP): JLUR, wheels, bumper, tow, prem soft top, body color fenders.

Not sure what discounts, if any, are available. Typical opaque dealer stuff. I'm not really trying to negotiate anything; they've been helpful and pretty nonchalant. Claim they're making $500 and will place the final order without a deposit. They're one of the higher volume dealers in the US, and take orders hand-over-fist each day.

If anyone has any particular insight as to pricing, I'd like to hear it. OTOH, this is a 20 year "keeper" car so squabbling over pennies isn't really necessary. That is, if it's just pennies and not thousands of dollars.

Did anybody notice that the Mojito! color choice in the configurator does not say Metallic? The Mopar-Modified Mojito! Rubicon on display at the LA Auto show is very definitely metallic. The configurator's Ocean Blue and Punk'n clolor choices both say Metallic. I'm hoping that Mojito! really is metallic, and that this is just (another) error in the configurator. Can anybody confirm? How about an actual late availability DATE for these colors. Has anybody heard that? And what about he interior? Currently, the configurator only gives you the option for $1495 Hertiage Tan leather seats with Mojito!. Black leather, or even black cloth seats are not allowed. Surely this is just another configurator error. Right?

According to the placard at he LA auto show, that black grille is in the MOPAR Performance Parts Catalog, "Grille Custom Painted Satin Black" part # 82215114. But I couldn't find it on the MOPAR Parts website (yet). Here's a photo from our friends at Quadratec:

I don't need the extra light blinding when it coming the other direction. If you can't see with your factory headlights put your glasses on or upgrade your lights.

Never heard of fog lights blinding anyone. Lots of aftermarket Wrangler HEADLIGHTS are bothersome though.

To add to the other comments about pricing. We saw the new Jeep(s) at the LA car show. I had already done some research and watched the video with the lead designer. If you're a "car guy", then you're tuned into the huge technological steps many platforms are making. (And not all flash - a lot of under the skin stuff like body/frame stiffening, etc.) I believe the JL is a once-in-a-generation rendition; they really got it right.

So, we'll park it in the garage, take it out on nice days, and keep it for 20 years. At some point, it's just a free car that is fun to drive.

I hope the Ocean Blue color swatch is accurate. Darker blue is nice.

I just tried adding the bumpers and it added the led lights for a total cost increase of $2,190 as noted at the bottom of the screenshot

The same thing happens in our dealer system, when you click steel bumper, it requires you select LED lighting group as well. Currently the steel recon bumper only comes with LED's, so if its a carryover, they probably require all lights become LED to match up. But who really knows, its a Jeep thing right??
