We don't have enough clearance yet to throw the Treps & Methods on, but at some point we will. In the meantime we had these at the shop and they fit the bill to test out the 35s.

Just make some flat fenders already, the way you knocked out those sliders and light risers I expect you to already have them finished.. J/K

I'd love to see that combo on the JL

Is that JLU Sport actually one you ordered, or is it one Jeep provided to you? I ask because many of us are waiting for orders and are looking for deliveries to start. Yours would be the first confirmed customer delivery.

Also, will you be making a Lava Jacket adapter for the JL? That's honestly one of my favorite accessories I have for my JK!

Thanks!
Dan,

The JL Lava Jacket Vent Clip is already in the works.

Heck, it might be worth buying a JL for the Lava jacket alone. I never found it useful on my LJ: the adapter was too finicky and the airflow was never strong enough.

Due to the fact they have side-stepped answering that question twice now, it's sadly become very obvious that they do not own this jeep themselves.

The one for the JK works beautifully. My daughters fight over it on cool days with the doors off.

No, like you all we’re anxiously awaiting delivery of the 2 JLs we have on order. However, we were lucky enough to have a friend who had one and let us check it out, which was a great opportunity for us.

Outstanding! I'll be ordering immediately upon its availability!
WTF !?! I have been buying Ace Rock Rails for years, and never knew about this Lava Jacket, Mother Truckers !!! :swear:

New last minute Xmas gift for me from the GF.

Until FCA adds heat vents at the neckline, this will be great for star gazing in the mountians with the roof off/open.

edit: Wish it came in a bright colour, hate Black jackets for vehicles, in case need to step outside near the road, etc not safe to be wearing black.

Last year I bought a safety coat. It's amazing how my shopping habits have changed since I bought my Jeep.

That orange in their logo would be pretty cool, or red. I still love my black Lava Jacket, though. I've even worn it on a hot summer day, just to see how it felt with air conditioning. It was ice cold!

I'm wondering if I can save $700 by not ordering the tow package. I was definitely planning to order it on the JK because it includes the 3.73 gears but the JL retains the stock 3.45 gears.

If the wiring harness is easy to connect then I figure I can add it later for less money. I know the GC is a simple plug and play to add wiring harness. Pretty sure I can live without the aux switches.

I'm kind of in your boat as well. I'm sure the wiring will be easy to connect and there will be an aftermarket hitch and wiring harness for considerably less just like the JK.

But the factory tow package also upgrades the alternator to 240 Amp and the battery to 700 Amp. Probably not really much of an issue, just pointing it out.

That's great news! However, I'm really wondering if the no rubbing means full articulation. That looks like a mall crawler set of wheels/tires. Let's see it flex. What it does tell me, though, is that when my Rubicon comes in, I need to drive straight over to Discount Tire and throw 35's on it, and move it's 33's over to my JK, which just happens to need new tires right about now. :like: I'll decide later if I want to throw the 2" lift on it. I probably will do the Mopar lift, to keep my dealer happy to honor the warranty.
Buy whatever lift you want. Warranty will not be an issue. There are much better options for that type of coin. Rockkrawler has a lifetime warranty as one option.

Is it possible to custom order the rock sliders with a steel mesh, or diamond plate or similar over the gaps between the outer tube and inner part of the rock rails?
