Installed a shorty antenna. No issues with reception quality so far but I am mainly a Satellite radio guy.

I installed that same one and the reception has been great for me.

That’s pretty awesome and the price isn’t bad at all! It looks like it uses the same bracket location as my rack, but I wonder if I could work around it. Thank you for sharing!

If that's the Rhino Rack set up from Maximus 3 - it will work just fine. I have that rack going in this week, i originally saw both the rack and the hi-lift mount on 2 other wranglers somewhere in this forum so i know it works. just doesn't work if you have the 60" hilift, which i doubt you do

Started building my cargo storage /sleeping platform. It is removable so when it’s not getting dirty, the Jeep will return to it’s more civilized form. So far just have the rear cargo area box built. Tomorrow will work on the platform above the folded back seats. Will cover it all with carpet and top it off with foldable foam pad I recently picked up... Happy Camper!

Installed a new gas cap cover. Amazon link is below. Shipping from China took about 2 weeks. Honestly, it feels very solid and actually snaps in tighter than the standard trim piece. Only issue is the o-ring inside doesn't grab the gas stalk tightly. Other than that it feels very sturdy . Lid is made of aluminum. Install was a breeze.

Referring to this Fox: https://www.foxracing.com/moto/

Logos are different and Fox Motocross offers only gear...I didn't see any suspensions being sold.
I see what your saying. That is a bit confusing. On the company info page they do reference Fox Racing and Suspension but don't ever say they are affiliated.

I had a tough time with it too. Glad I made it though. Wound up needing to the diagonal line to the left up the big boulder.

Nice workmanship. Are you going to cover the plywood or just leave as is?

Thanks @Kenny I will paint the inside box black and then cover the plywood top and exposed sides with a carpet to match the black JL interior. Cheers

Just noticed your location...

20% tint for the front windows is considered illegal in Texas. You can have it on your rear and back windows. However, a lot of people have the 20% on the front windows. I don't hear of many people getting pulled over because of it. Just know that if you do get it installed, the cops have a valid reason for pulling you over if it's on the front windows (driver and passenger front row).

https://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/vi/consumerinfo/windowTint.htm

And wow I didn't know this, but apparently it'll fail inspection: "Note: Windows immediately to the right and left of the driver that have less than 25% light transmission will fail inspection, regardless of the year model of the vehicle."

20% tint is less than 25% as the % refers to "visibility of light transfer" not the % of tint/darkness.

Yes in Texas you need to be 25% in fronts. Lucky for me my JL Sport didn't come with any TINT on the Hard Top or anywhere. So I'm planning to do 25% all around.
