Were these the high clearance MB inners? I've been eyeing them trying to actually determine if there's any increase to be had in uptravel if I changed from my cavfabs.
Doesn't look like it. I don't think they had those when I ordered mine.

That's great! Thanks for posting that update!

I actually just switched my wheels so I took some measurements. I had stock Rubicon wheels that measured 6", and I had 1.5" wheel spacers to help provide some clearance on my RK pro lower control arms, so 4.5" BS on a 37x12.50 tire
That’s from their newer high clearance inners and just requires a 1/4-20 rivnut on the bulkhead. Pretty sure you could make them work on their standard front inners although I don’t know of the hole is in the exact right spot on the standard inner fender.

If you’re asking me, no probably not much. They are designed to open up the rear of the front fender well for larger diameter tires.

After stubbornly trying to keep my XR wheels i ran the standard motobilts front and rear, then cut the rears way back and then installed the high clearance rears and opened up the rear fender wells. Then added synergy wheel spacers. I’m convinced I wasted a lot of time and some money stubbornly hanging on to the XR wheels. I got -38 KMCs, ditched the spacers, and installed the high clearance fronts and trimmed the front fender wells.

I think wheel offset and a proper lift and the minimum bumps required is more important than trying to get every last mm of clearance out of the inner fenders. I’m a slow learner.

I too am a slow, painful, learner at times. I do however try and take the knowledge gained by others pain into account. I am only loosely planning right now, need to get back in the garage and deal with cycling the suspension again as I think I can pull more bump out. It's hard being an intelligent idiot at times, because you do end up chasing that last mm of clearance for no real reason.

If 6 miles of bump is good enough for big name SEMA builds, it's good enough for us dummies... right?

@No Spark V6 Love the 3d scan idea, I'm going to be in the market for some inner fenders sooner rather than later as my 35s are eating the inner liners.

There's a reason why metal should never mount to body and frame, it will fatigue and break sooner than later, anyone using this design is a pass imo.

It seems ime that having a mesh covered cut out area at front of the front inner fenders is desirable to let the engine fan pull air through the radiator and have a way for this hot air to easily escape. The engine compartment is very tight and this is not helping our engines to maintain proper temperatures.

@Terrymo What width KMC -38 offset wheels did you go with? And how much lift 3.5"?

17x9 and 3.5 RK but hauling too many tools and crap went to 4.5 rear which is right there in the RK instructions if I would have read thorouhly
