Anyone able to recommend inner fender liners that are significantly stronger than the ones that come stock?

Ideally:
  • Metal
  • Attaches w/ something stronger than plastic clips

One of the main issues Im trying to solve is snow and ice starts to pack behind it then until it pops the clips off.
The the plastic starts to get damaged or ripped off by my tires, even more so when Im chained up.
This has happened with multiple Wrangler JLs

Any metal aftermarket liner will be stronger than the stock plastic.

If you Google it you will get many many options. Most are very similar. Choose a price range that fits your budget, then choose what you like the looks of. American Adventure Labs, CavFab, Motobilt etc etc

I have googled it, and ended up looking at various different options, searching for specs, reading through install manuals for a couple hours and really became no closer to a purchase than I was when I woke up.

I was hoping someone had a positive experience with something similar to what I'm looking for (or sells something). If just google it was the answer I would not even bother posting it to the forum.

And yes snow, I was high centered in snow a little over a week ago when my winch line broke. I just got word yesterday its still impassible unless youre willing to go snow wheeling

If your trying to solve that issue AAL makes a fender retention hardware clips. You install rivets into the holes where the stock plastic would go and screw these in instead. You'd rip the fender liner before the clips would rip out.

I got American Adventure Lab front and rear inner fenders. They are powder coated with a nice subtle logo. I have about 94,000 miles (including thousands of offroad miles) on those inner fenders and there isn't even one chip in the powdercoating. But the truly amazing thing about the AAL inner fenders is how they attach to the Jeep. AAL uses special connectors that enable me to easily remove them and re-attach them in just a couple of minutes. I'm not kidding--literally two to three minutes. AAL makes incredibly high quality products and has customer service that is second to none. BTW, I'd call them and ask them if they could steer you to a good shop to install them. I actually drove to their location in St. George and they installed them for me.

Why these? Curious because the price on them is WAAAY higher than anything else I’ve seen. Not opposed to spending on good parts if the value is there.
Wondering the same. Only thing I could think of is if they are stainless steel but even then that is nearly 4x the price of the majority of other options. Nothing on the product page suggests they are SS either.
