I see a lot of talk of Fox, King and a few Bilstein shocks, but not much on the Rock Krawler shocks. Specifically their remote resi with fast comp adjuster.
Currently I have a 2021 JLU Sport S with a Mopar lift with the 2.5 Fox shocks and running 35" tires. They have been adequate but now cause a lot of bobble head movement off road with plenty of body roll when on road. I am upgrading all 8 control arms to RK Adventure X and adding 392 axles, so the next logical step is springs and shocks. What the heck, it is only $$, right?
Ultimately I will likely end up with 37s, but no bigger, still need to drive to the trails. That has me thinking that a 3.5" lift with appropriate springs and shocks with ~11" travel for the front would be good.
Looking at springs and shocks I found that RK mates their shocks to their springs and see plenty of references to people using the RK triple rate springs but not many mentions of their shocks. The cost of the shocks is at the very maximum limit of what I can rationalize and spend. The Blisteins and Fox would be a similar cost but they both have dual speed compression adjustments, where the RK only have fast speed compression.
Can anyone sway me one way or the other with real world experience and specifics length of shocks, springs, etc?
