Those pics I sent her was to show her the location of where the oil is present.
Give us a call at the office, we obviously want to make things right and have no interest in sending out a bad product. I will be out in our shop for most of the day but speak with Jeremy and he will take care of you.

As mentioned above, due to the nature of our flutted bodies, machining and assembly, it is not uncommon for small amounts of assembly oil to come out of the threaded areas for a period of time while the shocks are new once the shocks are permanently mounted vertically. Minute amounts of oils will be traveling down the threads. This is not a cause for concern as ahead of those threads on both ends of the shocks are two o rings that seal the caps to the bodies. We use double redundant sealing techniques at all locations on the 2.25 shocks. No matter how hard we use blow guns to clean out the threaded and flutted areas it is impossible to blow out all the assembly oil as the high pressure air actually can force some assembly fluid back in, but not past the o ring seals trapping the assembly fluid (Going against pressure). That assembly fluid will eventually work its way down the threads and come out. That does not mean you have a bad shock, it simply needs to be cleaned off. Eventually all assembly fluid will work its way out of the threaded and flutted areas. If you feel you truely have a leaking shock, please consult one of our service techs. A little bit of assembly fluid coming out of a shock is alot like a head wound. It is much worse than it actually is. Hope you find humor in that one.

Please consult our trained technicians with any questions or concerns.
