Thanks All! I liked the Sahara a lot, but the Rubicon just spoke to me.....and it’s in my first choice of color. Just worked out for me!

And to top it all off, I talked my boss into getting one too, and she wanted my steel bumper(as it didn’t matter to me) and traded me her soft top(which I was going to buy anyway)! Win Win!

If my wife came home unannounced with a brand new car after having bought practically the exact same one six months earlier, I’d... I guess prepare myself to work until I’m dead. :)
Looks at the vehicles he has listed under his name: Jaguar F-pace and Range Rover Velar. Something tells me he can afford to trade an 18 Sahara in for an '18 Rubicon.
And besides, you only live once.

How much of a bath did you take on the trade? I'm really curious about the numbers.

Simular situation we we're set on a loaded Saraha but was missing remote start. We found our Rubicon with the options she wanted and asked if I had rather get that one anyway sure honey we can get the Rubicon with remote we both won!!!

I support this decision. I traded in my brand new Sahara JL for a Rubicon JL after a month. I’m happier.

When the dealing was done...in the end, I probably was down $1000-$1500... which is why I did it. I was shocked. Apparently they really really wanted a used JL on their lot...don’t ask me why. I was planning on waiting but when I took my boss up to pick hers up in my Sahara, they repeatedly kept telling me they would make an awesome deal....that’s how it happened.

Thats awesome if you have the money to do it or just don't care and get what you want. Ive been reading all these internet forum stories for over 20 years. You don't get a good deal on a trade 1 month, 3, 6, or a year. Thats cool you like your new jeep though.

Haters gonna hate. If you can’t come to this site and boast about your new Rubi purchase where should you go?

Congrats!

Wow! That's great! That means you drove your Sahara for roughly $200 per month! That's fantastic! That's exactly where I like to be when I unload my vehicles, from the moment I buy them, to the moment I sell them. I'm perfectly comfortable buying and selling my cars every 12 months, if I can be at $200 per month in total depreciation. I always buy my Jeeps at roughly 6%-7% below invoice, and then sell them on Craigslist within 12 months. On some occasions, I've actually broken even, and have even made a little money, believe it or not! For Jeeps (especially Rubicons), I'm usually right around $100-$200 per month in total depreciation. I'm now on my 8th Wrangler, doing the same thing over and over each year. I think Chrysler really likes me :) LOL! Oh, and my Jeeps are always fully paid for, so that I don't have to pay any interest, which would then jack up my monthly cost.
