The bracket won't be effective after you lift and put big tires on it. The roll bar on the other hand is more likely to come into play when you lift your Jeep. Logic, common sense, critical thinking...absent in the smart phone era.
Just do everyone a favor and don't get this thread closed as well because you can't keep your fingers away from the keyboard.

You say that, but you did a wonderful job getting my thread closed. Like I said learn how to quit before you screw everyone else over.
You can read it again even if you can't post in it. I didn't bring up the topic but will respond with... logic, common sense, critical thinking. If that gets the thread closed they can close it. At least reality was still posted beforehand.

I just used a sawzaw and cut it flush with the bottom of the frame. painted and voila, looks like it was never there. Crap that people drive on the roads here in Cali, I will be fine without that thing.

Can you please send pictures? Thank you.

I'm moving my Artec belly skids to my 2026 on order and there is definitely an interference there. Can they be unbolted? I believe I need to remove/cut the rear 1/2 of the bracket.

I have full artec skids and they do not get close to the crash bar. I cut mine for looks alone. I will post a pic later.

Just to be clear, do you have the new 2026 style (driver and passenger side crash bars) or the older passenger only crash bar?

The new ones, pic below looks like they will for sure interfere with the Artec bellypan.

This new 26 crash bracket looks like it would interfere with my LOD destroyer rock slider running boards too. The front frame bracket of the slider bolts to the frame right where that new hockey stick bracket is. BTW I still have the crash bracket on my 24 JLUR...

We need to know if this thing can be unbolted, trimmed where it interferes and rebolted in. It looks like a really complex shape. Would love to see pictures of one removed - would give us a better idea of how to deal with the interference.

Thanks for confirming.

I guess we need to wait until an owner posts detailed pictures on how it is attached and how it can be removed. I'm hoping I can just drill through it to install my Artec skids. I just spend 3 hours removing them from my 2021.

Too bad we spend 90% of this thread arguing about what they are for, and not about how they are attached and what interference they may create :)

Hello Just added a 26 Rubicon X to the driveway for the wife and started looking at different slider steps etc because she is short, and knowing how some attach ( have LOD sliders on my 25 gladiator) I crawled under the wrangler to see how those new crash supports attach and snapped some pictures. The almost look like a skid or ski in design and are just bolted on pictures are from drivers side, but passenger is mirrored of the driver side.

Hey - Thanks so much for posting detailed pictures. It is bizarre how intricate these parts are. If you have a chance, would you mind snapping a picture of the attach points on the passenger side? That is where I think it will interfere the most with my Artec aluminum skids.

I'd prefer not to remove the - so trying to see how they can be shaped to co-exist with the skid plate.

Thanks and happy holidays.
