Looks Great! So, when you say you went with the 2.5" lift and used your springs and shocks, do you mean the RC 2.5" spacer lift or something else? I'm trying to learn all this stuff so forgive me if this is obvious...

Yes Sir, the RC Budget lift uses existing springs and shocks, there is a kit with shocks but from my understanding going with those over the factory ones would be a step down so the kit uses spacers to keep your springs and shocks within the same travel and new control arms, the ride feels no different than factory

Thank you. That's what I figured. I'm tossing this around as well, or even combining this with the Rubicon suspension for a little more.

The RC budget kit (spacer lift) does not include NEW CONTROL ARMS.
Yes, ride should remain similar to stock.

This lift stuff is all new to me and I confused control arms with sway bar links

Was your tire carrier third brake light bracket adjusted upward? People say it can be adjusted for 35's but there are 2 screws on each side of the the bracket. Moving the bracket up to fit a larger tire means it will only be held in place by 2 screws. Seems the holes for the bracket are fixed. Would be nice if the bracket was held in place by compression points so you could slide it into any position. I just see 4 thread openings. So do you lose the bottom 2 when you move it up? Maybe @TTEChris can confirm?

It was adjusted upwards, and unfortunately in doing so you only have two mounting holes. I agree Jeep should have made it a sliding bracket. I can say however that my wife puts that tailgate through some abuse, and I have yet to see any sign of movement from that light with just the two mounting points(there really is very little weight behind it)

Nice job! Did you consider adding the RC steering stabilizer kit or is it not necessary? Just curious when/why you'd decide to add that kit and when/if needed?

It was adjusted upwards, and unfortunately in doing so you only have two mounting holes. I agree Jeep should have made it a sliding bracket. I can say however that my wife puts that tailgate through some abuse, and I have yet to see any sign of movement from that light with just the two mounting points(there really is very little weight behind it)

From my end the steering requires a bit more input as in slightly more effort in turning but I am guessing that is due to the increased tired size but I like it being more stiff for the lack of a better word, also the steering feels tighter so not sure if @TTEChris made any adjustments but I did kindly ask that he check and torque all the important stuff outside of what he was already doing, overall I am super pleased with the end result even though I may loose some MPG’s but it’s a Jeep right.

I also upon getting home look at the third brake setup and even though it’s only one screw on each side it’s pretty rock solid.

In my opinion a steering stabilizer is not needed unless the stock one goes bad or you just prefer the stiffer feel that most stabilizers tend to give you. I don't like that the stiffer ones tend to mask steering issues that you would otherwise notice with the stock stabilizer. I do however like the adjustable units b/c on long highway trips I can make the steering very firm, but when I get to where I'm going(usually an offroad park) I can turn it all the way soft to make steering easier. Around town I usually keep it somewhere in the middle which makes it feel almost like the stock stabilizer.

Here ya go, you can see part of the wheel but it does not go past the red stops, also note I have been told that if you have the bumper sensors that sometimes the tire can cause they to go off but I don’t have the backup sensors so no issues.
