Here ya go, you can see part of the wheel but it does not go past the red stops, also note I have been told that if you have the bumper sensors that sometimes the tire can cause they to go off but I don’t have the backup sensors so no issues.

As I said and promised here are finally some pics of my new look, @TTEChris did a super job and was a real pleasure to work with at Tankcustoms so whoever in the Houston area please take time to visit with him for lifts, tires, lights and bumpers, I’m sure he offers more but what sets him apart from a lot of shops is he takes his time and never pressures or rushes you thru the process of upgrades

Did you have to install a spare tire mount relocation bracket to help facilitate the spare sitting up high enough that it's not coming in contact with the rear bumper?

He is using a @Rough Country Suspensions spare tire relocation bracket, and extended bumpstops. It's close with the stock bumper and the offset of the wheel, but it does make contact with the bumper when closing without the raised bracket.

Thanks for the reply Chris. RC relo bracket ordered. Are there any better options than Daystar for extended bumpstops? Found them to be cheap and break easily during install when I tried using them on my JKU.

I always make my own out of semi rigid hose purchased at the hardware store, but do a search for hockey puck bump stops. It is a little cleaner way to go about it, but finding hockey pucks in Houston isnt the easiest thing...

No sense is spending the coin on those fancy Daystar bumps, the heavy hose @TTEChris installed on mine looks pretty good and is economical and you can put that $$$ saved in the piggy bank for another mod, if I remember in the morning I will snap a side pic of what it looks like.

Ha! Hockey pucks are so versatile. I made jack stand pads out of used ones I picked up at Play It Again Sports for my corvette.

@WranglerMan Hey Will, now that you've been running that @Rough Country Suspensions lift for a while, how is it holding up and most importantly - how do you like it?
I had a complete RC lift system (leafs, shocks, bumps, all that stuff) on my YJ a few years back.

@x_captain_kaos_x I still am working on getting the tire pressure correct, was running 35-37# while I am working thru a TPMS issue and it rode pretty stiff on that pressure running the 315’s even though they are a “C” rated tire, currently running about 32# and the ride is a lot smoother but still need to chalk test for the best road contact and ensure even wear, as far as the RC Budget Boost I am happy as I got what I wanted to run the bigger tires and since I kept the factory springs and shocks it’s pretty close in comfort to the factory ride but again I am working on getting tire pressures correct for ride comfort, mileage and proper wear.

It’s really funny you mention me getting my TPMS issue resolved, when I had my new wheels and tires installed with my lift the Vendor supplied so called compatible sensors and they did read pressures but for some reason the idiot light came on and stayed on, I even umarried the Tazer and went back to stock and aired up the tires to 37# and then remarried the Tazer and then did a host of things like turn it on and off and did a reboot of the ECU along with lowering the alarm setpoints but the light never went out so the Vendor supplied another set of sensors that were sent as OEM compatible and looked nothing like the first set and we had those installed and it took like 20 mins for the fronts to sync up but the back ones never did so I had a local Discount Tire hand scan the sensors and they reported they were all correctly working on all five sensors but did not have the tool to do a system scan thru the OBDII port

So here is what I originally had with the first set of sensors

I have been working with Tankcustoms and @TTEChris has been super helpful and said he would do what ever it takes to make it right and let me tell you the way I obsess over every tiny thing due to my over active OCD compulsion on every little thing and I mean everything I’m surprised Chris didn’t change his phone number and move but he stayed with it and said we will make a plan to resolve.

Well to finish up an overly long story our plan was to put my original wheels back on the Jeep with the original sensors to see if that fixed the problem but it did not come to that.

As I said when we had the second set of sensors installed we got the above message with no rear pressures and I was tempted to use the Tazer to turn this stupid system off but Chris asked me to leave it on for a few days and glad I did, I was told by the installer of the second set of sensors it could take up to 24 hrs for the Jeep to relearn but most learn quickly but I guess the sensors in the rear were not listening, one of the rear sensors synced up 24 hrs after the install and the second rear one synced 12 hrs after that so all it all it took 36 hrs total for them to sync but to be honest it sat parked probably 34 hrs of the 36.

The pressures were changing but still had the idiot light but I had my pressures running around 31-32# so I went into the Tazer and the default alarm was set to 35# and I have been told that the alarm should come on at 30 but I used the Tazer to set the alarm limit to 25# and low and behold I went from the above pic to this

I am so hoping I continue to have these sensors work and I still have a few thousan miles to go before I rotate and I’m hoping they don’t lose there mind during the rotation but who knows, at this point all is working and I have my speedo calibrated almost 100% to my GPS speed app, at first I had it set to 34” as that’s what the tire measured but then I just kep bumping up the size thru the Tazer and ended up being at 34.49” and it’s dead on at 65 mph.

If anyone in Houston is looking to have work done I highly recommend @TTEChris Owner/Operator of Tankcustoms, this guy went above and beyond what most Vendors would do to resolve and he stands behind all his work even though the sensor issue was not due to him.

I think for the time being I am going to clean up and polish my new Jeep and take my time to consider my next mod, I need the time for my OCD to calm down

im going through the same thing, with all tires pressure read but the tpms light on. Do u mind telling me what sensor finally worked for u? the one i have is the Schrader 20398.
