I have a touchless car wash I take my Jeep to, but the issue is that no matter what, I always get spray down the side of the vehicle and water spots.

All I have is a small garage I keep the Jeep in, so I can apply stuff out of the sun at least. No hose or anything to actually hand wash myself.

What I'm looking for are some products I can use after the car wash to get rid of the spots and spray, then a sealant to help with when it occasionally rains. I have some ceramic glass cleaner I'm going to use and I'm going to go buy a whole bunch of microfiber towels.

I'm thinking of the Cerakote Paint Sealant - but do I need to prep the surfaces with something to clean up all the spray and spots first, or is that good to just spray on and wipe down?

Other thoughts? Thanks!

Is that a car wash or a big puddle? 🙃
I would change the place you bring your car to, every place I"ve ever gone to at least does a wipe down.
After you find a better place, use Chemical Guys products, I'm vey happy with the result.
Make sure to use a microfiber towel.

Went to Walmart and took your suggestion on Chemical Guys and got this stuff.

Going to make a frozen pizza I picked up and let the Jeep cool off in the garage and hit it up when Im done eating. Also got some nitrile gloves.

This is an automatic place, nobody staffs it. It's close to my apartment, so I just go there to get it washed down.

x2 on finding a way to wash it yourself, or taking it to a place that actually hand washes vehicles. The job the touchless does, according to your pictures, isn't worth money in my opinion, and may be doing more harm than good.

If you must keep doing it that way, or even if you find a better method, I'd recommend Griot's Ceramic Speed Shine while drying/wiping it down. It has just a little cleaning property, a lot of shine, and acts as a lubricating layer for towels when wiping.

I would be careful they may be reusing water and your getting somewhat dirty water on your Jeep.
I would personally go to a better place.
In this case you get what you pay for. 👍✅

I would look for a carwash where you hose it down yourself.

I pay $3 to power rinse 3 minutes, this is enough for the body, and under fenders etc, then I'll bucket wash about 5-10 minutes, then $3 to power rinse again.

I go at midnight or similar when no one is there, bucket wash at these places is frown upon, aside from not paying to use their 💩 brush, you hold up people waiting to wash.

I use Turtle Wax Hybrid solution car wash , then I use their Graphene infused Flex Wax, before I used their wet wax, I'm in Canada most of their Hybrid Solution line is hard to come by, otherwise I would still be using Wet Wax.

At the bare minimum, if you cannot wash it yourself, use a drying aid of some sort, that should take care of the water spots, also I would at least try to use some sort of ceramic wax, that should help to bead the water to run off.

When I'm lazy, I'll use a leaf blower or similar instead of hand drying.

The place does have bays with power washers and the like - you're allowed to take your own cleaning supplies? I never considered doing that. It's just a chain carwash - https://rockymountaincarwash.com/

I picked up the Chemical Guy's stuff since it says:
  • Among our soaps, HydroGlide is a waterless wash that adds hydrophobic ceramic protection & shine
  • Cleans, shines, protects, and adds hydrophobic properties
  • Easy to use: Clean your car without a bucket, hose, or water
  • Helps extend the life of existing ceramic coating
  • Can also be used as a detailer or for spot cleanings
  • Hybrid formula combines the convenience of a waterless wash with the protection of nano SiO2
  • Great for use on coated and non-coated cars
  • Quickly removes dirt, grime, bird droppings, dust, and more
  • Creates a mirror-shine, glass-like finish
Figured it'd be a great spray on/wipe off and then I could use the Meguiars on the plastic bits. Towels are color coded so I'll never mess up using tire cleaner towels on exterior. :D

Just go when it's not busy, and hand wash yourself, if it has an attendant they might say something, maybe toss them a White Claw to turn a blind eye, I always walk with extra.

Ideally you want to use a ceramic like wax, then depending you can get away with just power washing it most of the time without even drying, then do a proper hard wash every two months or so, all depends on how dirty it gets.

Oh use something like 303 on the plastic bumpers etc, that usually keep them clean and black

this is the best i have found and i have tried alot.
i go through a spray wash also. after i drive and get water off or use blower to dry jeep. i use this. i stray wipe with 1 microfiber then finish wiping with other one. it lubricates and helps not to scratch.
i have black paint and have had paint correction done. it takes me less than i.5 hours to wax jeep with this. also water repellant is top notch. i can upload more pictures of my paint if you would like. i do this weekly and other items i have used tend to smear because i apply weekly and use as a detailer after a spray car wash. i will never go through a car wash that has brushes . this is the best i have found and have tried all that is listed above and more.

Finished wiping the whole vehicle down with the Chemical Guys. Looks nice, but doesnt do a thing for the water mark sprays on the doors or elsewhere.

Is the Wrangler actually getting washed properly, I stopped going to the drive through since the 2 door JK days because parts of the Wrangler just wouldn't even get washed, people have said some drive through sensors get tripped up with the fenders etc.

It does have a spinning sprayer for the sides - the spray on the doors, I think, is from water on the wheels flying off when I drove off from the washer.
