Does the soft top block any of your view in the rear view mirror when down?
No, not at all. Especially when I use Velcro around it to make a sort of boot,

These are the straps that I'm using: http://a.co/heWgz1U

Good to know. So it doesn't come with tie down straps?!
None are needed, really. I just like things to look nice and neat. It does come with a couple of short straps that the manual says to use in sunrider mode, but I never bother with them.

I thought those little straps were to tie the windshield down on the hood! :giggle: Maybe it's dual purpose? LOL. I go "Sunrider" all the time and I wouldn't bother with the straps either.

Now I see, hear, (understand) it. If it's not on XM I would say the speaker is OK and its just some distortion on the FM. Keep in mind we are under warranty so we shouldn't be afraid to play around with things and turning up the volume should be included. I should take my own advise. I think the highest I have had the volume is 17.
agree and thanks Pal

Here's what the manual shows for sunrider:

Fully down position, you just use the locks and no straps:

Noooo..... they should fast track a 2018 or 2019 for you! Would be nice if they would honor the agreed on price. Maybe Nicole can help in this instance, maybe?? How about it, Nicole??????

That's terrible news. Your locked in at a good price though, considering the hikes. Just hang in there.

Just a suggestion, try one of those Christmas tree bags to store the seat in. Plenty of room and keeps the crap off. Mine is standing on end in the garage. I got the idea elsewhere in the forums.

Edit: Turns out I got the idea from @Rhinebeck01
Definitely a must for ditching the back seat. Love Jeeple ingenuity especially when the solution is so cheap. :like:

I have mine standing on end in a corner of the basement as well. Now no worries about the cat finding a scratching post or a nest of spiders greeting my passengers should I ever put it back in the Jeep.

The storage space it opens up is awesome. The speaker may be an issue once I start adding lock boxes, air tank, fire extinguisher, dog bed, etc.
