You may find in the end he charges you a little less... that is if he is as honest as you say..

The Rubi rails take no more then a half hour to install and the Ace Sliders will take a half hour to install. If he takes his times and gets interrupted a lot, he may take 1 1/2 hours to actually to the job. For sure do not pay him for more then 2 hrs.
2 hours was his upper limit estimate. Thanks for looking out for me. :angel:

How awesome is this 1967 2-door?!?

Spotted it this afternoon and couldn’t stop staring. 6-gallon tank, hence the jerrican in the back. This is the kind of Jeep that makes you fall in love with Jeeps all over again.
Its cool, but the JL did that for me, modern safety, silk smooth transmission options and 285 hp v6... yes sir.
But ya, those old guys dominated their era too, and paved way for us new Wranglers.

Well, I don’t have my JL yet - so in the meantime I’m drooling on every other cool Jeep I see ;)
Plus I genuinely respect the timelessness of the Wrangler design. It’s not often that you find this kind of staying power.

Mounted my ace sliders today. There is a post in the 2 door slider thread for more info. I am happy with how the install went and just to be clear red locktite sucks ass.

Looks awesome! 315's or full 35's and how many PSI? I am thinking of doing the same but the 35's or 315's should be on an 8 1/2 rim.

315's. Dealer has them at 40psi, they don't drive too bad but i'm gonna take 'em down to 36 or 37.

I love the old Jeeps as well, but I also love all the modern technology and mechanical advances. If I were to have a classic car it would be a resto mod for sure. Imagine going beck to crank windows, and no power brakes or steering. The JL is the best yet as far as I am concerned and wouldn't trade it for anything!

@BostonBilly

Each cover covers up wires going up to speakers, etc. Wire are black in color and do visually stand out if uncovered.

Yes, if hard top is removed it would be easier to get to the covers and deal with them somehow.
I had tried gorilla glue on the little rubber spacers. Today, I pulled the little rubber spacers off and used 3M double-sided tape to attach the little trim pieces to the top. So far, they seem VERY firm and should not rattle.
