ok group i need some input from you all. i am not going to keep the tube doors. i think they are solid, well made and the mirrors are great. id like to pass em around, so others can give em a try, maybe post a review? any ideas? takers? it will be 2 months before they hit market so it would be nice to pass em around while we wait for more. im thinking that shipping would be the only cost involved. im not selling them, they were free and i would like to share for the curious. someone will end up with a cool set of tube doors eventually. this is a pretty close knit group so i think it might make for some fun forum fodder. your input or interest is greatly appreciated.

I take it that you don't ride motorcycles then... :)
No, and I have a cousin who got paralyzed for life on a 3 wheeler scouting out for the next day deer hunt. (before they switched to 4 wheels)

I will add tube doors and rocks sliders to protect my side. I would add a photon torpedo bank or 2 if I could.

Yes I did. I am not buying more warranty. Really that is what they want.
Ya, I think these v6s will run effectively forever (relative to warranty coverage).

I will cover whatever happens after that, and possibly do crazy upgrades if things do eventually break.

That's a generous offer and one that I hope turns out well for many to try them out.

I myself like doors or no doors. Just like the free view if I'm going doorless and weather protection when I'm not. I've got hopes too get the Bestop cloth doors eventually so they would be easy on in case I hit storms while out exploring. The tube doors wouldn't work for me.

I'd like to hear what others think though.

Maybe in 2 years when I'm living in AZ I would put tube doors on . Very nice offer though hopefully someone on here can take advantage of it.

Me too, tube doors don't work for me either maybe in two years when I'm living in AZ . Nice offer though hopefully someone on here can take advantage of it.

Really? I love the look, kinda roadwarrior. My TJ buddy bought a set of used half doors and uses them all summer, that works too.

Cant wait for us to have that option.

I guess my challenge is warm all summer during day (California dreaming), then Northern CA ocean fog comes in at night (we call it our free Air conditioner). I am a viking and dont get cold, but my wife does so this may not play out on my plan lol

install vid, pics at least. very interested. cant wait to see em!
Having the garage that I have used for my late XJ install them along with the Rubicon Rails. The cost/rent of buying the tools, the fact that I know they under-changed me for the repairs on my old rig while waiting for my current jeep, and the fact they never over-change me and never do unnecessary work. The owner quoted me for 2 hours of labor for installing both together. :like:

Mounted my ace sliders today. There is a post in the 2 door slider thread for more info. I am happy with how the install went and just to be clear red locktite sucks ass.

Would be cool to try some out. I keep going back and forth on whether or not to get a set.

Ruh roe Raggy! That's the wrong tool kit. This is what the JL kit looks like.
These bits are JL specific and are for the wipers, doors, backup camera, etc.

Fo sho & I’m not doing it! You’d think I’d be used to their incompetency by now, but nope! Still gets me every time.:giggle::lipssealed:
I usually throw out everything that isn't first class. I did get something from Jeep though.
