I would never get my tires replaced at Walmart, but to each their own.
That’s kind of how I feel about discount tire. Watched them ripa wheel stud off using an impact gun then tell the customer that it was a probably with their vehicle and for the customer to go buy one and they’d put it on “free of charge”.

Had them throw away a tire they said they’d be patching, was in the center of of the tread and les Schwab patched it. Just really suspicious they removed the tire and threw it away with marking the wheel and tire, pretty obvious they no intention of patching tire, I could see if they took the tire off and don’t feel comfortable patching it after inspecting it. I’ve had some good experiences with one specific discount tire and I’ll go to them.

I bought some tires from Walmart one time and they did a decent job and used a torque wrench to tighten the lugs. Walmart is one of the few places to “sell” Kenda Klever RTs and mount them.

Stop buying tires from Walmart. Jesus, the things some of you will do for cheaper prices is insane....
They sell the same tires as any other retail store? The things some of you will do to waste money on the illusion of somehow getting better quality...from the same manufacturers. Thanks to the gladiator forum I caught one of their crazy discounts on kanati mud hogs...for $94/tire. All 4 shipped to the house for $412 manufactured in the 5 months prior in a 37x12.50r17. Cheapest I could find them anywhere else is $250/tire. Sold the 33s that came on the mojave for $600. Made money going to 37s, but go ahead and overpay at discount tire or wherever makes you feel better.

Moot point - I would never order either of those. The only acceptable toppings for a burger are cheese, bacon, Ketchup and hot sauce. But I digress...

I never said I was upset, but I get it - reading comprehension is hard. Don't give up, though.

So, are we going back to Walmart to return the tires?

People are always the variable, even within the same company. I know my local America's Tire (western states Discount Tire) is extremely well run. I watched them on a handful of visits for our vehicles. Best run tire store I've ever seen. The shop manager is out there orchestrating and doing pickup work on occasion. Very impressive to watch.

You're welcome! And thank you for returning the favor with your own sarcasm.

Bruh, save it. Walmart forces their suppliers to make all sorts of products specifically and only for Walmart, to their price point and specification, which is often a cheaper quality, smaller, or containing fewer features than the similar products that those suppliers sell themselves, or sell to other retailers. Not saying this is true with that brand of tire, but, it is suspect.

Second... Maybe you haven't reached it yet, but many of us get to a point in life where we don't want to deal with the "lowest bidder" to do our work, even if going elsewhere costs a little more. Because our time and patience is worth more than that. I don't want tires shipped to my house, and then have to find someone to install them, or do it myself. I don't want to have to deal with Walmart people and Walmart employees to get tires installed, and then have to deal with another Walmart later on because they are the only store that sells that tire, if I need to replace one. But, props to you dude, you still get off on a great deal. Wahoo!

I'd rather deal with an independent local shop or a local 4x4 shop knowing the price I'm paying is supporting my hobby and both the owners and employees of a local outfit. Beyond that, I want a big-name, high quality shop where not everyone is throwing the family Toyota to get the cheapest set of tires put on for the cheapest price.

You read me?

I didn't want to sell false hope. Ordered as soon as I saw it last October. Even the OPs order was canceled but a few of us actually scored the tires at a huge discount. Over 22k miles on them so far with no issues.

My local shop did the mounting and balancing, as they do all my tires. Never had to even had an email conversation with Walmart or their employees. Already was running the same brand in a 39x12.50r17 on the JLUR for a year before I saw this deal. Paid about the same price I paid for all 4 37s for each of the 5 39s through custom offsets. I don't really care how or why they were sold so cheap, wasn't in the market for tires, but that was a deal I couldn't pass up. 4x37s fit in the back of the JT so I spent less time dealing with having the tires delivered and installed than you'd spend calling or going into your local shop, ordering, and then going back to have them installed.

If this is the tire you bought, the pic also shows it as being a 245/65R17 even though it's advertising a 265/70R17.

I have no idea on these tires, but same manufacturer, same model doesn't always mean they are the same. Often those great deals you find at a discount place on a particular product will have one or two different digits in their part/model numbers because they are the "discount version" of that product.

Doesn't mean that you can sometimes find the great deal, and a particular consumer may not care if it is or isn't the discount version, but caveat emptor.
