I realize that this might not be a cool thread, but just wondering the obvious. (So please I beg no super snarky remarks)

I check this site like once or twice an hour (while at work - :)), but often throughout the day. It's amazing all of these ideas for a jeep. I feel like a kid that just got a new nintendo and now I wonder what games all my friends have.

Would this be considered a Jeep owners porn site? (So addicting!) I mean I find myself thinking "That's so hot!", "I'd so do that", or my favorite "that is the crazy position without falling over, but i'd like to try with mine"

Have a good weekend, y'all! (see you in a few minutes, LOL!)

You aren’t the only one. My wife and I have an unspoken agreement that any mods will be paid for with “extra money”, so unfortunately, for me, the question usually is “How much overtime would that mod require?” I don’t spend as much time on the forums as I did before taking delivery, but I still check in 2-3 times a day.

i used to check it a lot while i was waiting for my JL to arrive. Now i look a couple times a day just to keep abreast of recalls and maybe mod ideas. I never had a wrangler before so i am really interested in what people are doing even though i know i will never go rock crawling. i just see mud and high water in my future

I had someone ask me once if I had any extra money. To me that phrase doesn’t exist. That would imply I have bought everything I’ve ever wanted, then given money to everyone I thought was deserving. Any left over would be extra.
Just buy what you want when you can without struggling.....and always buy the best you can, or else you’ll spend more money eventually replacing it.

I think this is pretty normal with anything new and exciting you might be into. I did the same thing with my JK. now that I've had it 1.5 years I've gotten most of the stuff done to it that I wanted to do, and I've had enough exposure to learn the basics. So I visit the other Wrangler site maybe every other day. I once bought a certain make/model of motorcycle that I knew nothing about. There was a forum specific to it so I was on that 10x a day for 6 months while I learned the bike. I recently visited that site for the first time in almost 5 years. So eventually the new toy syndrome will wear off, and then you'll visit less often. Eventually you may become one of the experts at some topic and respond to all the newbs to help them with the stuff you went through.

All of the ideas here don't surprise me. The Jeep Wrangler is the most customized vehicle in America with an average dollar amount of $3000 spent on upgrades/customizations for the vehicle. It's AWESOME and yes, I'd say that I'm addicted! Rock on'!!! :like: :giggle:

Yes, addicted as well here too. I check the site anywhere from once ever 2 days to 4 times a day so it varies. More Jeep porn: Using the Chrome browser, enter "site:www.jlwranglerforums.com" at the top in the address bar, hit enter, and click on "Images" at the top. Then scroll to see all of the images on the JL forum site - thousands of them. I don't think this works on IE, so must use Chrome.

I for one am happy to see people excited about forums again. The glory days of forums faded with the introduction of Facebook groups and it became almost impossible to have a productive tech discussion about anything.

Welcome the addiction. It is relentless and it won't ever stop. LOL

I’m addicted as well ....I’m totally in the fb demo, but I’ve always been a forum guy for this type of thing, so much more valuable info etc.

The best thing about this is:

1. No politics
2. No racism
3. A TON of knowledge transfer
4. No Bullshit (mostly).

All we need now is an ICQ chat program for this and it will revive 1999 technology again.
