I haven’t yet, but I live alone & would have to have someone come over to help any time I want to take it off or put it on. I can’t do a ceiling lift of any kind because I’m a renter & my garage is bare bones, as in studs. I don’t trust the integrity of the structure to hold the top for an indefinite length of time. The ease of doing it myself with a stupidly expensive Top Lift Pro is very appealing for a super independent, hates to bother people by asking for help girl. It’s an annoying trait!have you tried it without? our JK one is pretty light and i hear the JL's are lighter. i got a soft top because the JK's hard top has been sitting in the back yard for 5 years! lol
But there ya have it.
I’ll see how it shakes out this weekend getting it off for the first time & we’ll go from there I guess. Now, to buy a sunshade!!

It’s been a while, but if I remember correctly I feel like I’ve watched & read things saying that sliding it would be more difficult with the JL top, because it’s not a flat bottom & there are things that would drag & scratch. The dowels are a great idea!!! I guess I’ll find out what’s what this weekend when we get it off.
