I couldn't find a direct answer on search so hoping someone can put my mind at ease or give me a solution. I'm looking to move up to 35" tire on 0 offset wheels 4.75 BS. Thinking of doing the RC spare relocation bracket to move up the tire so no issues with bumper, backup sensors and most of all trailer hitch which is close to my spare now.
My concern is the 35" tire will be closer to my trailer power tongue jack. Will this be an issue? not concerned about opening tailgate when hooked up, just turning radius and dips in road causing spare to make contact with power jack on trailer. Any help or experience with this would be appreciate.
I've attached a picture for referance.

You might want to use a 4" receiver extension. Use one of those tow hitch receiver clamps to secure it from moving around.

I Haven’t used either of those before. Not sure I like extending the receiver with having weight distribution hitch or if that can even be done.

From 73 feet away it looks like it should clear just fine.

Got a closer pic?
It’s 75 ft actually but who’s counting. Best picture I had of my current set up at the moment. Try the zoom feature for closer look?

My eyes are deceiving me, definitely looks to be 73 feet ?
I really don’t think you’ll have an issue with the Jack to be honest. You’d have to be pretty close to 90 degrees to get that far, and if you’ve got it cut that far then you’re probably not doing something right!

Damn those A frame tongues are short. How about ditching the power unit and side mounting one on the tube behind the propane holder?

Not a good idea for towing.

Any time buddy ??
I only mention the 90 degree rule out of experience… my first time towing a boat with a very short trailer, those things can get sideways in a hurry! Small corrections makes big movements.

I moved mine to the side. Mine was really to close for comfort. They sell the relocation bracket. It just bolts on. My WD bars have clearance also. Bonus I can open the tailgate a bit too with the jack gone.

Yeah, definitely! I’ve had to get out of some tough spots after going down the wrong turn and had it close to 90 degrees a couple times and the trailer up on an incline which is what concerns me with the spare being close to the tongue jack. Guess I’ll just have to be more careful.

Where did you find that relocation bracket? I really like this as an option so I can open my tailgate a little more.
