Did a search and not much turned up.

What do ya think about the 3500lb tow limit on the diesel. I'm guessing the rig is capable of much more with 450 lb/ft of torque and Jeep is being cautious because of the wheelbase and weight of the JL. I wonder if frame itself is marginal for anything very heavy.

Any ideas??

I saw a comparison video between a diesel JL and 3.6 JT on YouTube from TFL truck I believe. They pulled the same camper, on the same route for each of them and both preferred gladiator over wrangler just because of how squirrelly the wrangler felt at higher speeds even tho they both agreed the wrangler was definitely quicker

The JLU 2020 European version, same configuration, same engine, same wheel base, etc. tows 5,500lbs (1,500kg JL, 2,500kg JLU). Most likely it is only 3,500lbs in the US due to insurance industry issues. https://www.jeep.co.uk/wrangler-jl
