If you dont have a BSM module, iam worried that the plastic piece that sits outside the light will leak because its not a solid piece on the body of the tail light. Mine gives a little when you push it in. Thanks for any opinion.

You will love them. As someone that moved from the regular to the tinted Oracles, know that the brake lights are dimmer but the reverse still are amazing. Still plenty of brake light though.
Dumb question alert ?: I am sure the smoked ones are DOT compliant, but could some slime ball ambulance chaser or insurance company make a claim that the darker and less efficient break light caused their client to rear ended you? Thank you. They look amazing by the way.

@Trek54

You say you are "worried that the plastic piece that sits outside the light" ...... I'm trying to zero in on what plastic piece you are referring to..

Are you referring to the panel on the Oracle flush mount exterior that has the unsightly, Oracle logo panel on it that gives a tad if you press firmly on it?? If so, over the short and long haul you will not have leak issues with that.

By the way you can get rid of that unsightly, Oracle logo panel and replace it with a custom design of your choice... and the custom design panel also has no issues with leaking..

They are maybe not quite as bright as their nonsmoked version but plenty bright when lights or brakes are on and much brighter than many tail lights on the road.

As far as rear Enders… I have a rear cam to help with evidence. My experience is it is extremely hard to place blame on the vehicle you rear ended. I had a scammer/frauder start then stop and back up into my car long ago, and then claimed they did no such thing. My insurance paid out even though it was deliberate… just no way to prove it.

The part Iam concerned about is That part you made mention you can change to a custom looking panel. I guess its not sold because of people that have BSM panels to put in. I do really like these custom panels. Thanks

Well, my 2018 Bright White 2dr. Rubi JL is officially a poser now. :giggle:

She bares her lily white ass for all to see in an Amazon ad for Threedom custom replacement panels for Oracle Flush Mounts.

See her ass here.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to angle the BSM SENSOR slightly away from the jeep.
Insgead of putting 3m tape on the top to angle them down, would it help to put the tape on the top and bottom of the same side of a sensor to angle it away from the jeep??
I just bought these lights and have the same issue.

There really isn't a way for it to leak. If you push it in, that is an external pressure that is not designed to be there. If you spray directly, for long enough with extremely high pressure water source, then maybe some will seep through. Neither of those instances are something that will occur during the course of normal, designed usage.

You can experiment if you wish, but we have found the best locations for the angle. Let us know if you have a different experience, please.
