May 8th I posted 10 2-doors from inventory search for my area. Just checked, 62. Think we have many more deliveries happening in the next few weeks!
In my area, went from 10 to 14. Not much, but a lot better than May! I have a cross country driving trip starting Saturday, so I’m not in a rush. Will be gone 2 weeks, moving my son to the west coast. I’m in a quiet zone right now, will start freaking out in July.
Can’t wait to see who gets what over the next 2 days!

Initial thoughts after my first 100 miles (40 of them in stop and go traffic jams):
  • Clutch is nice. It’s very soft, which is good in traffic.
  • ESS is weird. Feel like I’m driving a golf cart with it on in a traffic jam. I turn it off as soon as I remember. Will get a Tazer for a more permanent fix.
  • Hill start assist is some kind of black magic. My wife says it’s cheating, but I like it!
  • Soft top is easy. A+ Glad I saved some $$ not getting dual top. It’s plenty quiet for me.
  • I use the Velcro straps that came in the glove box to quiet the rear seatbelts when top is down at highway speed. Works perfectly. No more flapping.
  • Alpine and UConnect are great.
  • No more wandering than I’d expect from a Wrangler. It holds a line pretty well, at least until a crosswind blows.
  • Much bigger/meaner than can be captured in a photo. 2dr way sexier than the short bus, IMO (saw them side by side at the dealership)
  • Super comfy seats. Lumbar is perfect. I can see the whole instrument panel. (I’m 6’ 190lbs)
  • Very happy with my black fenders. They add contrast, and I don’t have to worry about chipping them up.
  • Haters can keep on hating, but my polished lip wheels are sweet. No regrets there.
  • Sunblock. Keep some in your glove box. My wife gave me some fancy stuff that goes on dry. Totally needed it, today. Even with it on, I still got some color with the top down.
  • I don’t care that my rubber mats don’t have red JEEP lettering. There’s enough red, already. I really, really don’t care that they didn’t give me the carpet mats that they replaced. What the heck would I do with them?
That’s it for now. Happy for all of you who got status changes, today! 4th of July or bust!

Just picked up my 2 door a little while ago. It’s Firecracker red (poor picture). 6 months and 2 days since order date. It’s been a long haul but very happy. 35" C-rated KO’s and 2.5" RC lift in the garage. Mopar tube doors, premium soft top, and CMM mirrors on order. Waiting on ACE for 2 door sliders. Contacted Tuffy 2x about a trunk but they won’t respond so I’ll make my own out of 14 gauge stainless steel or thicker aluminum. I’ll try to post feedback in a few days.

I wish everyone waiting a speedy build/delivery!

P.S. my dealer honored pricing and trade-in value from December 12 - no questions asked. Jon Walters at Perkins Motors in Colorado Springs is a class act!

Dumb question - do you have an iPhone? If so, did you install any UConnect apps? I installed both “UConnect” and “Sirius/XM Guardian UConnect.” They both work and do the same thing. Not sure which I should keep, and which I should delete.
I do have an iPhone but the sales guy at the time suggested not connecting it until the did a few updates, plus the sound quality sounds better running it with the cable. Just my opinion.

No quote yet but I will report here once I have the numbers. Based on what I have seen, expecting 800-1200 for the hood and a few small spots. I think full wraps go for anywhere from 3-5k depending on where you live. My opinion, no need for a full wrap, or at least did not need it for Miata.

The other part of this is getting a Ceramic coat, and that’s going to run me around 1300 for a 5 year coat. Had this done on my Miata and have been very impressed with it. 3 years in and never waxed. I have a guy do a simple wash or I do the 2 bucket method and it still looks like a high detail wax job with only half hour work.

Als, dirt and crap does not stick to the coat. You will still get dirt, but it comes off real easy
I actually got a quote for the full wrap in Atlanta from a quality shop and its about 2500 excluding the hard top. I just haven't decided if I want to go that way or not.

Music is definitely better through CarPlay. I decided to jettison the guardian app, and kept the UCONNECT one. It’s fairly useless on a manual since there’s no remote start, though.

I'm planning on ordering a 2 door sport with standard soft top tomorrow.

Anyone have any idea how long my wait would be? Seems the backlog of orders is mostly cleared up.

Internet quotes on a 2 door Sport w/ 6MT, A/C, and Anti-Spin (and tan interior) [MSRP$30830]:

including all dealer/doc fees,

Dennis Dillon: $28,419+TTL w/o Chrysler financing (I really don't wanna play Idaho games though)
Dealer A: $29,976+TTL (nice guys with super high google ratings, 30 miles away)
Dealer B: $29,080+TTL (honestly seems a bit shady, but who knows. claiming 'employee pricing')
Dealer C: $30,700+TTL (extremely helpful dealership I test drove and had discussions at. closest to home. high-rated service dept.)

input? are quotes sometimes too good to be true? I'm leaning Dealer A.

Congratulations! Glad you finally got it. If you have an automatic transmission I would be interested in knowing what your gas mileage is when you get the 35's on and speedometer re calibrated. I am getting 20 in mine with stock 33's. Mileage is the same whether on the interstate at 70 mph or my everyday driving in the country.

See if Dealer C will get closer with price to Dealer A. Since it seems you will be going to Dealer C for warranty work at least.
