First Post- Nice to be here and thanks to the admin for allowing me on.

I am on the fence about ordering a Rubicon X with 35’s. I had a Jeep many years ago and have driven 4X4 my entire life, some good and some terrifying on the highway. Anyway I am curious about the road manners of the 24 Rubicon X ? It would be a daily driver and used on the highways about 25miles every other day. I also try to take a vacation and i always drive there so I am curious about an occasional long trip.
I have a 22Rubicon XR. I love it. Get the 2.0 turbo. I get 20mpg around town and get 22 hwy on trips. I found it comfortable on trips.

My BB is GONE! My 2021 loaded Rubicon 2 door got rear ended by a drunk driver. She was my dream Jeep and by todays build and price that Jeep mirrored the 2024 Rubicon X. Even though it only had a little over 20,000 miles at least 5,000 were off road with the rest being highway miles. I loved driving it even though at times it drove on the highway like a Jeep it drove like a Cadillac off-road. After being totaled a couple of weeks ago I’m desperately looking for a Jeep dealer that will order a 2024 2 door Rubicon X to replace BB. ANYONE out there know of a dealer in Texas that will place orders below invoice or at least give a positive ordering experience? I’m going through off-road Jeeping withdrawal!
We purchased a 2023 JLUR with the Xtreme Package from Moriz Chrysler Jeep Doge. From the Time we ordered all the way through they were good. Good communication. Price never varied. All has been great. The Salesmen we used is Jimme Hall. Also service has been good. We purchased their extended tire warranty and got a big nail in the tire last time out on the trail. They brought it in and took care of it. No questions. It did not penetrate the tire so they did not have to order another tire. They do not keep the 35's in stock. Anyway let me know if you need more info about this dealership. It is located in South Fort Worth. Good luck on your purchase and sorry you lost your other Jeep.

Thanks BBs GONE and can NEVER be replaced HOWEVER I did go to sleep with a smile on my face BECAUSE I placed an order yesterday with Renae @ MarksDodge at 7% under invoice and the ordering experience was absolutely delightful So far. As an older lady I’ve purchased many vehicles off the lot but now will only order from now on. Thanks to everyone for responding to my posts and helping me find the new member of my family, Jeep Rubicon X. I will find her name as I wait for delivery. In the meantime thanks y’all from this Texas Jeeper.

4.56s are perfect with 35s on a JLU. Ask me how I know! The 8-speed is an absolutely terrific transmission, and this combination of tires and gearing really unlocks it. TBH, I would not want my Jeep to be any faster. It feels totally dialed in on 4.56s with the Pentastar.
I’d second that. 4 door, 8 speed automatic, 3.6L V6, with the XR package that includes the 4.56 gear set. It’s a very balanced package; fantastic performance, little impact on fuel economy in my opinion and dollar for dollar you can’t beat the price of the XR package considering what it costs to build aftermarket. Plus the XR package components are all under factory warranty.

I like the fact that it is under warranty

I have been hunting the deal and found Gupton offers the best deal by far. They got my business. I just don’t want to have buyers remorse. As mentioned earlier the solid axle. All of my experience with solid axle 4x4 were 40 to 60 year old vehicles. Which were not very well lifted. So these were the vehicles I was referring to as being terrible on the road. I was young and really did not know better. I want to test drive one but there are none around here with 35’s.
I feel your pain with the older vehicles. My first 4x4 experience was with an old International Scout in the late 70s. That thing took some years off my life, especially when it was raining, but the JLs are leaps and bounds ahead of that. As others have mentioned, it will drive different from other modern 4x4 vehicles, but they handle fine as long as they are maintained/modified properly.

4:88s are FUN and if you drive in the city then they are the answer!

Bad news, NO 35s on the 2024

Rubicon X

If I had only known, I would not have ordered the X, just the Rubicon...Been a LOT cheaper.

Just wish you could get XR as a manual. Will probably go to 35s after I go through the factory 33s on the Rubicon.

The 35s are an option on the 2024 Rubicon X.

Sorry, missed that detail.
LOL its OK...early on they said the JLR-X would come with the 35s, in fact I even had a build sheet showing it was included in the $9500 X package, Which is why I bought it. Now they showing up and no 35 for $9500 bucks!?!?!?!?

Yep, the same thing happened with leather seats on the regular Rubicon. When the build options first came out, it was a $1,700 option, now it’s gone. Definitely some odd configuration limits this MY.

Starting to fear the SWB is going to be phased out maybe at the next big iteration of J?...

Good news is the J? usually stay in production for about 10 years...albeit my 2024 might be my last Jeep in a long line of Jeeps since 1965, nearly 80, somewhere gonna give it up I guess, but not yet!
