9000 original mile, 2017 two-door Rubicon, front and rear lockers, Dana 44s, sure it's a manual, but that just goes to show that the options are out there for lightly used JKs.
But then you’d have a JK ???

this is pretty dumb, just keep what you have and put whatever feature you want on it as mod. just wait for 2025 to roll around. perhaps 3.0 i6 is coming, that would be amazing in a 2 door.
If the 2 door still around by the 2025…

It was in the announcement a few weeks back that the V6/Auto combination would only be in the Rubicon, if you want the V6 in one of the lower models you only have the manual.

All signs would indicate that the Hurricane is NOT coming to this generation of Wrangler. Maybe the new generation when it comes out in 2028 or 2029.

Agreed. But lately anything new from Jeep that is cool/desirable has ZERO chance of being on the 2-dr.

Even in the next gen, I have little hope they will offer the 3L turbo in anything but perhaps the 392 replacement, they will continue to force us into the 2L turbo and 4xe, how I see it anyway. And the manual lasting into next gen is highly unlikely...I'll be keeping my 2021 V6 with 6sp until she gives up the ghost!

I cannot believe with the clutch issues the JL has that they are forcing everyone who doesn't need all the extras the Rubicon offers to buy a manual.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 2.0, but I think it sucks that's the only way to get an auto now on a lower-trimmed Wrangler. So glad we bought out the leases on our '18s.

This is correct. I was going to order a 2024 Willys automatic, but you can only get the 2.0T With auto trans. I didn’t want an engine with a turbo, so I had to go up one model to the Rubicon to get the 3.6L V6 with the auto transmission. Less choices in this years lineup.

Pretty much the same vehicle??
Are JL's an upgrade from the JK? Obviously, yes. Do they have better Dana 44s? Also yes. Are they better at off-roading than JK's? It depends. Do they come standard with bigger tires and a slight lift kit on the rubicons? Yes. Can you get the same results off-road out of a JK Rubicon for less money than you can a JL Rubicon? Most definitely you can. Are they the same vehicle? No. Are they pretty much the same vehicle? Yes, albeit a downgraded version.

For $52,000 I could buy a basic optioned JK Rubicon, and aftermarket I could equip a lift, 35-in tires, beadlock rims, full skid plates, front and rear bumpers, a warn winch, a fastback soft-top, and get the windows fully ceramic tinted.

Or I could buy a 2024 basic optioned JL Rubicon which will get annihilated on the same trails I could run with the JK for the same price.

It's not about technical specs, it's about paying more for less.

But... JK! eeesh ? ?
I'll admit my all time favorite is CJ ('76 - '86), with the TJ coming in 2nd ?
.... but your points are well taken.
