I never received a VON email from Jeep. I got my VON from the POC that the dealer sent me. Figured I would atleast see a status C or BX or something by now.
Did you by chance order a manual? I received mine the within 2 days and I’m curious if you did with the recall stuff going on maybe it’s put on hold?

Nope, ordered a 4xe. Thought maybe they were different or takes longer to schedule.

So, I was contacted by my salesperson today. The Dealer's Sales Manager reached out to the District Manager to get some information on the timing of the remedy and it's impact on the building and shipping of my vehicle. He is going to get back once he gets that info.
So all others that are MT not built yet, stand-by!
Have heard nothing from Dealer yet. Hit Jeep Chat, just because I can, and they had nothing new. I asked about the Manual Trans issue, and he really didn't know what was going to happen on the production line. He said all parts are in and no Red Flags??. Except of course the flaming clutch?. The March 6 Estimated Build date I was given last week is gone, though he was hinting this week still.

They’re still hinting at this week? Damn either they’re really confident in a solution or just trying to make you feel happy expecting it “soon”

Or, they just want to kick the can down the road, and have the new owner worry about the recall. I don't think I want to purchase a vehicle that has a possible dangerous design flaw.

What do you think the odds of them just scrapping the manual and giving us automatics to avoid any future issues

I thought about that, but I think because we have VINs, that number dictates a manual. We would have to re-order again:headbang:

I mean they could just scrap the vins and make new ones, only way I’d accept the auto is if it’s the same price though because besides enjoyment of manual I also did it for the savings

I just sent a note to my salesperson. I'll see what he says.

Let me know what they say because I’m sure if jeep really wants our sales they’d consider it

Well two days ago I get a notice I'm in a LD long delay notice...said prob a month. Then tonight I get an email "congrats your vehicle has arrived" lol. Just another reason not to get too discouraged or too excited with updates because you never know the exact truth. Now to arrange some flights to pick her up :)

Our issue is unfortunately the manual transmission clutch recall that’s happening right now with a stop sale on them as well

Yeah there is nothing good to say on that one unfortunately. I hate it for all you guys. Just awful to hear that whole mess.
