Hello group, since a month ago I have a problem in my Wrangler, when I try to start it tells me that it does not detect the key fob.

I have already tried with both keys and I have changed the battery. The key fob opens and closes the doors, but when I'm inside I can only start it by pressing the ignition button with the key.

I scanned it and it gave me this code: B1A74-13 (Input passive antenna 4: Open circuit).

I would like to know if anyone knows the location of the passive entry antennas inside the vehicle so I can check them.

Thank you very much in advance.

If you put the fob in the cupholder slot, can you start the Jeep?

Then I suspect that is where the antenna is. YouTube should have a video of how to remove the center console. It's probably just unplugged. If you still have a warranty I suggest you let Jeep fix it.

Why do you think the antenna is in the cup holder area? I honestly don't know but am wondering why you think it's there?

I was under the impression that was where you put the key if the Jeep won't start. I was wrong and I'm having a great deal of difficulty finding the correct answer. I'm still looking...

There are four antennas in this system. Tailgate, passenger door, driver door, and under the center console. The part number is 68051315ab. I have searched all morning online for the location. I have only seen it installed in a Dodge. My assumption is that it is faulty, or has become disconnected. I hope you find it and it's only something simple. Good luck.

One antenna is behind the HVAC control in the dash, there is one in each B pillar and one in the back by the tailgate. Put the key fob in the back seat and see if it will work.

I would start with the one behind the HVAC, it's a simple procedure to crack open.

Place the key in the back seat and it did turn on! I will do more tests tomorrow, thanks Gregj!

Yes Abe thank you, I think that antenna will be the defective one.

Just to update you, after much research and with the help from all of you, I confirm that antenna number 4 is the defective one and the is behind the HVAC.

The color of the wires is the same as in the diagram and also AllData confirmed it.

I leave pictures in case anyone needs the information.

Now I just have to wait for the part I ordered, replace it, and I hope to give you good news.
