(Edit: The build list is on post #7.)

I ordered my Goose Gear set up on May 25th, which finally arrived on August 1st. Unfortunately, it took most of the day to install it because I was wasting time and moving slowly. However, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. My dog likes it because he has more room in the back now. Earlier this summer, I installed the Outback Adventures Trailgater Table, which I am pleased with. Hopefully, my roof rack will show up next week.

That is my buddy, Rusty, and he will be going overlanding with me. He loves the Jeep more now that the back seat is gone!
I'd love to take my girl but she'll be 12 this month and is beginning to show signs of hip deterioration and wouldn't want her to be uncomfortable.

Yeah, Rusty is around 12 years old too. If I leave in the Jeep without him he throws a fit. He doesn't get around as well anymore, but I am buying a set of fold up stairs after I get my jeep back from being lifted. He has been getting better since we started cooking for him about a year ago. We put turmeric and other stuff in his food, and it seems to help. You have a beautiful dog.

It was a long week without my Jeep, but I finally got it back! I began the re-gear break-in yesterday, and I am about halfway done. The boys at Exodus 4x4 did a great job with the Jeep. I am thrilled with it so far. However, on Monday, I will call Hutchinson because the caps that belong on the wheels are missing.

Mods Installed:
1) Clayton Offroad Jeep Wrangler Diesel 3.5" Premium Lift Kit
2) FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP 3.5-4" Front and Rear Shocks
3) Re-gear from 3.73 to 4.56
4) Reid Racing Heavy Duty Driver and Passenger Replacement Knuckles
5) Synergy Heavy Duty Ball Joints
6) EVO Mfg D44 M210 Advantec Axel Truss Kit
7) Teraflex Delta Big Brake Kit
8) Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x12.5R17 mounted on Black Hutchinson Rock Monster Beadlocks
9) GenRight Swing Out Aluminum Rear Tire Carrier with Camera Mount, Licence Plate Mount, and 3rd Brake Light

To be installed: Adams Front and Rear Solid CV Driveshafts when I return for the re-gear inspection.

My 23 Zero shower enclosure came last week while my Jeep was in the shop. It took longer to install than I had expected because of how the rack is assembled, but it wasn't too bad. I will probably just sponge bathe instead of getting one of those hard mounted solar contraptions. Money is running tight, and I need to put the remaining funds where I can get the most bang for the buck.

I do like the enclosure. It is roomy, and it has pockets to store things while you are using the stall.

Hi Darryl,

Just found your build thread. Well done!!! I'm looking at the Clayton 1.5in Overland suspension for my 2dr Rubi and upping to 35s on Icon Rebounds (I think). Trying to decide on shocks. I see you got the Fox 2.0s. I'm thinking the same.

Yes trying to find specifically what I want in stock or with short lead times has been a serious struggle.

Hi Mark, Thank you for the compliment. Finding components has been a real struggle and has set my departure off for months because I refuse to compromise. If it is out of stock, I wait and get what I want instead of what is available.

You will love the @Clayton Off Road lifts. Even with my 3.5" lift, the ride is very nice. I have no complaints at all. It took about 20 minutes to get used to the new feel, but now it is second nature and feels natural, if that makes sense.

I originally budgeted for Falcon shocks, but the guys at Clayton told me they engineered the system with the Fox 2.0s in mind. I never mentioned the shocks when I contacted Exodus 4x4 for a build quote. I did specify the lift, and they specified the Fox 2.0 shocks for me. I could not be happier with them. Granted, I am not allowed to go off-road until the new drive shafts come in, but I cannot imagine the shocks being worse off-road.

This is the hood graphic I designed to replace the Rubicon logo. This Jeep will get me out of the city, and take me to places where I can see the stars.

I finally installed my Warn Zeon 12S winch mounted to a Warn winch plate. Initially, it did not go smoothly. Most of my problems came down to the fact that not every Jeep frame is dimensionally the same. I used the angle grinder several times on a few noncritical parts to make things fit. In a few days, I might describe how I finally got everything assembled. Once I figured out the technique, it wasn't difficult.

My XG Cargo Gamma Stealth bags came in today, and it took ten minutes to install them. I will use one for coffee-making items, and the other bag will be for hygiene.

After I posted earlier, the UPS man brought me another present. RokBlokz XL front mud flaps. I didn't order the rear ones because I wanted to check the quality, and I am impressed with them. I figure the front ones can be taken off in a minute or two, depending on how fat I am that day! So I will probably order the rear set now.

I modified the back driver's side door to open wider, but not all the way, so Rusty's new dog stairs would fit. They fit with room to spare. Unfortunately, his old ramp became too steep for him with the Jeep recently lifted. After I took the picture of the modified strap, I applied a piece of transparent protective film to the paint to keep the plastic buckle from ruining the paint over time.
