I'm actually about $3k behind my down payment saving goal at the moment.... Was hoping to have my down payment saved & done by the end of November. ? (I'm aiming to have 25% down when I take delivery..... Whenever that happens to be.....)

The funny thing is that it'll probably end up taking another week or two to get there. That was my experience last year with the 2021. It was 4.5 weeks from order to in our hands and 3 weeks of it was shipping.
Agreed. I mean, I get it for insurance and legal purposes, but there's an absurd irony in waiting on a truck to carry a brand new, fully-functioning vehicle from one part of town to another. It's like saying I can't get the mail until someone gives me a piggy-back ride to the mailbox...
