Looks like a 'Breach Delivery', Congrats!
OMG! That's outstanding! Where? I'm in the Orlando area and ordered from Greenway.I hope I was right and we shook the transport tree and your Jeep made it. I just got the call. My Sting Gray, 2 Door has landed in Central Florida!! Going to pick it up this afternoon.
Thrilled for you Lydia! Have a fantastic day with Ms. Boheme!
Yeah. I started researching the internet when I didn't hear anything a few weeks after ordering. It was clear early on the dealer has no influence on when your build is done or when it is delivered. So, I haven't busted any b*lls there. This forum has been a great place to vent and to listen to other experiences. After reading what people who ordered before me have gone through, I decided not to call Jeep, Jeep chat or my dealer. That is my dealer, without prompting. A week ago. I almost emailed him today, but I will wait til next week, if I don’t hear from him.
150 miles around 31405 in Savannah/Hilton Head there are now 2 door in transit. I guess that is progress as well.
My jeep is in body right now and it has steel bumpers as well as headliners. I don't know that those items are an issue for the builds at this point. Cautiously optimistic...Does anybody know the status of the steel bumpers? I don’t see any of the builds with them.
Full disclosure - Have not taken possession of my jeep yet. I did drive a JLU with that feature. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. You can turn it off, but I would suggest just letting it do its thing when driving the streets. Now, if you're offroad, turn it off. But, it's a feature we just have to used to like chiming seat belt alarms...because stop/start is not going away.To those of you lucky jeeple who have received your 2-doors and have had the fun of driving them for a few days now, what do you think about the Auto Stop/Start function? Is it a pain in the rump? Is it just something new to get used to? What are your feelings towards it?
I had your boy Jeff email me today saying that my Jeep is scheduled to be built next week sometime. To those that have contacted the allnewjeep email and had your Jeep built, how accurate do you think their information was?So as I mentioned earlier in this thread, I used the hotline email to get an update on my new order. This time around I got Jeff, who stated the PST builds would start mid May. This was on the 14th, and I should note Jeff and I got off to a rocky start as he cut and pasted the same line twice in a row. I thought I would give him a second chance, you know new relationship and all, so I responded asking if he could confirm that the PST's started.
Well, good ol Jeff responded today stating PST builds would start late May. So in 3 days it shifted from mid to late May?
I don't know, thinking this relationship with Jeff is just not going to work out. I should have known, seeing as he is my rebound specialist and I am still getting over Nicole and her "I email everyone" ways.
As always take what the hotline says with a grain of salt, or look at it as entertainment use only.
Thanks for your input! I guess I'm more confused about it than anything. The jeep just stops running at stop lights, stop signs and such?Full disclosure - Have not taken possession of my jeep yet. Since you are in build, parts availability for those two options isn’t an issue. However, headliners get installed by a third party after you leave the factory which guarantees you go into JB status. The installer has been backlogged as evidenced by the fact that @cedxc2005 has been in JB for exactly one month as of today. Hopefully, that’s an outlier. My jeep is in body right now and it has steel bumpers as well as headliners. I don't know that those items are an issue for the builds at this point. So, do you also consider Waterboarding a form of entertainment? As always take what the hotline says with a grain of salt, or look at it as entertainment use only.
Went from one of the first 2 doors to be delivered to watching all my 2 door buddies get theirs.Since you are in build, parts availability for those two options isn’t an issue. Over a headliner.
